Who would be in AA form so far? I know collingwood has seemed a bit harshly done by in composite teams of late (please don't mention team-of-the-century), but atm it seems we'd be in best shape for a long time?

Seeing as lockyer has got even brownlow question marks on this board, i'll start the ball rolling with his name...

Heath Shaw and Lockyer the only ones at the moment id say.
Still a long way to go though.

Your problem if you want to call it that is you have such a good even spread of performances. You don't have any real stand outs grabbing the game by the throat. Therefore a lot of overlooks.

Hopefully I won't get too badly caned on this board as opposed to the whipping I would get on the main boards.....

Given that some of the AA selections made do not take into account current injuries and players are often included based on past years performances, etc. I seem to remember a number of players included that had played only a few games that year and still got in based on who they were (lloyd) and what they were "capable of".

If his forms continues to the mid-season break...what about Didak?? He has played 3 games and kicked 12.1 or 11.1 to date. If not injured he might have already kicked at least 20 possibly close to 30, putting him in the top 3 or 4 goal kickers...

Please be gentle.

Shaw and Lockyer are certainties at the half way mark, despite Heaters last month.

Cloke is well on his way, being the top 3 CHF's this year so far. Harry O'Brien is a cult hero to the media too...imagine if he has a great 2nd half too.

Turn it up lonie!!!

What the **** would you know? Cloke in the top 3 CHF's?

I reckon Riewoldt, Hall, Brown and Pavlich would be ahead of him, and thats just off the top of my head!!

Without offending the great form from people like Tarks, IMO I can't see him getting a spot at this stage because there are so many on-ballers or small forward to pick from. Trav would be in if he was kicking goals.

But Heater is certainty and Penders for Rising Star award. :thumbsu:

WOTF nothing against you mate, but I couldn't care less who goes in AA team. Frankly I was proud that no one from CFC has been associated with the abortion that is International Rules and the whole AA joke the last couple of years. They get to go and bash a few amatuers up OS every year and carry on like teenagers on their first piss trip. Half the players who get picked don't even play, and some the fockers picked are picked to 'play' out of position anyway. I mean last time I looked a team needed 1 centerman and maybe 1 on the bench not 14 playing every position on the field except FF, FB and Ruck. Another AFL embarassment. Why not have a state of origin series at the end of every year, or an AFL vs 'The Rest' match or mixed amatuer/AFL teams vs each other or something that showcases anything but the thugs on parade that AA/Int Rules has become. Sorry buddy, as I said nothing against you or the post, just AA gets on my goat because it is so meaningless.

Cloke must be doing something right as those teams are all about even with or below the Pies, so those talked up stars haven't exactly been starring, maybe 'hands in the back' has upset the forwards and not the backs as it was intended to do. How about instaed of bagging his choice, find a Carlton CHF who is more useful than a choclate teapot! Studio audience says, buuuum baaaar!:)

Agreed. The whole concept is about as useless, ill-informed and biased as the Mike S. top-50. In any case, the best thing about our season so far is the very-even contribution we've had. Under those circumstances, even if the AA thing was handled properly, we still wouldn't have much of a representation - and, I for one couldn't give a stuff!

I agree Cloke isn't a top 3 CHF at the moment but hes looking very promising

Clokes leading in kicks, marks and tackles. Just needs to convert abit more and he'd be going great guns.
not bad for a 21 year old/39 games player imo

Realisitcally, Heater is our only chance and thats sneaking in as a HBF or BP.

Tarks will never get in - the selectors don't have a clue and always resort to the A graders or their personal favourites (Joel F*CKIN Bowden anyone?).

Couldn't agree with you anymore pendles.

If his name was Hall , Brown , Pavlich , Cloke would be a certainty and if he had of kicked striaght he would get in just being a Cloke. No CHF has had a better year all over then him so far.

i hope cloke gets in cos of the hard work he does.
also tarks. and stop saying trav is 21 he is only 20!!!!!!!!!

There are no certainies Lonie. shaw is a great chance but has slipped a little and there seems to be 4 fighting for 2 spots-Mcleod , gilbee, c brown and shaw.

As good as lockyer has been he is fighting for an on ball spot. The competition for these spots is amazing- judd, kerr, black, bartel, cross, west, dal stanto, our own dane swan. The list goes on. the problem for lockyer is the the selectors seem to reward players who have proven themselves to be in the elite for more than 1 season. If he slips even slightly he will not get in.

As good as cloke has been he will not get in. Not a snowflakes chance. There is only 1 spot for a chf and that will be browns or rewioldts or even pav.

Harry has been very good but there is no chance he will be AA

presti at fullback:rolleyes:

apresti 100% will be considered!

the coaching staff at collingwood believe presti is the best full back in the game...

i agreee!!!

the man deserves a all australian before he retires and has been doing the job on the oppositions best forwards all year!

Absolutely no chance.......I love Presti also......but you can forget it.....Glass and Rutten will be in all day ahead of him. I reckon Brian Harris from the Doggies would be a roughie...getting plenty of it and giving run and by seasons end Scarlett will be getting a look in.
