Glass is playing some wonderfull football at the moment, his performances on Hall Pavlish and Fevola were brilliant

Glass i reckon would get the nod, only because of the success of the team, that shouldnt take anything away from his preformance though, he's been good.

I would say Rutten at this point. Although Glass wouldn't be far behind. Both are absolute rocks in defence.

Glass easy. Ben Rutten is helped out by the many Crows defenders that get back to help him. Still a quality player but Glass is always one on one and is rarely beat. The unsung hero in the eagles side and very underated.
Leo Barry is solid for his size but can struggle against the bigger blokes like Neitz and Lynch whilst Nathan Carrol had a solid 15 weeks last year but is no where near Glassy at the moment.

Ditto. Glass for me.

Scarlett? Pfft. Not as damaging as he was.

Glass, i havent seen enough of ritten this year but i know that pavlich didnt get a goal on glass (got one when glass was off), and he also did good on fevola, hasn't stuffed up all year.

If you actually watched our games you'd know just how often Rutten is left one out with his opponent, and how rarely he loses these contests. Not only that, but he helps out other players just as much as they help him. In fact, our backline often becomes shaky when he's dragged out of the back 50 by his opposition, as can be seen during the Essendon game. He's easily our most important defender.
He's conceeded less goals this year than Glass (averaging less than one goal kicked on him a game this season), and averages more possessions, more marks and more tackles than him. He hasn't put a foot wrong this year, yet the same old "oh he's helped out by the crow flood" bullshit still pollutes every discussion in which his name comes up.

id say Rutten. maybe

Mal Michael is showing some good form and always gets the best forward..

How many goals have been kicked on these guys so far this year.

Scarlett's had 9 kicked on him so far, while being by far the most damaging player offensively.

FWIW, Rutten just ahead of Scarlett and Glass right now.

Scarlett, however, has been on less damaging Fowards, far less quality than Glass or Rutten...

Other than Fevola who was gonna have a dirty night whoever was on him

He played on Brad Johnson, got killed, and Mark Williams, who is a strange match-up for him, and Scarlett played well.

That Fevola quote is beyond stupid, I could say that about any of the guys Rutten and Glass have played on.

Also, what would you like Scarlett to do? Tell Thompson he won't play against the Dees, because Nietz is out and he dosn't want to line up on an inferior opponent? Do you want him to ruck against Richo?

He can only play on the guys in the team.

BTW, do you know how many goals have been kicked on Glass and Rutten?

Im not saying that Scarlett has been bad, its just that when comparing these players you have to look at the calibre of competition they are playing on.... Scarlett was only on Williams for a while and got 2 kicked on him out of Williams three. And yes, Fev wouldva also had a dirty day against us if you put any of our backmen on him... Just my opinion, that although hes played well, Glass and Rutten have played better, Rutten first

btw
Rutten - 5 goals
Glass - 10 goals
Scarlett - 9 goals

So even for glass/scar and thats why I put Glass as being higher as he has had better opposition

They have all been playing well though, no doubt about it
