Autopsy AAMI Community Series - Game 1, 2021: Carlton v St.Kilda

Take a bow Paul Hunter, unreal performance after only a few weeks of full on training.

Can honestly say he surprised me most tonight, if he can dish out that when needed I’m more than happy seeing him get a good run at it when Ryder needs a rest.

His pressure around the contest was also eye catching.

Sinclair MOTM.

Is Max King ok?

- Honours pretty even between Hunter and McKernan for that second ruck spot; brought different things to the side, but both did ok without staring.

- McKenzie looks miles off, not surprising perhaps, but not great for him.

- Long poor. Webster clearly in front as a negating small.

- Forwardline is terrifying.

- Highmore looks a keeper, but our tall back stocks are a bit thin now.

- Hill loves the return of long quarters.

- Sinclair is a best 18 lock.

- God it’s good to have Gresh back.

that’s all for now.

Tigers have been good to us Higgins and Butler both best 22

Higgins was very good tonight

Why didn’t Brad Crouch play?

Pretty good win considering we were missing our two first choice rucks in Ryder and Marshall along with Crouch, Jones and Hannebery.

McKernan and Hunter were impressive, good to know we have ruck/kpp depth, Hill was great too but I'm not sure he'll get that leeway in the real stuff.

Higgins 1.3 and 3 goal assists
Lonie 4.1 and 3 goal assists
Gresham 1.0 and 2 goal assists
Hill 1.0 and 2 goal assists
Butler 1.1 and 1 goal assist
Billings 0.1 and 1 goal assist

Some smalls earning their keep down there
Snags could have had an all time game. I know it won’t go down as that, but boy can that little pest get in the right spots.

Sincs outstanding. Howard is a seriously good player. Hill terrific, and Lonie, Higgins and Gresham really good early.
