Oh god he must be pretty upset about Winning the Olympics, Commonwealth games and Rugby World Cup.

lol. normally I'd wonder why you thought these were comparable events, but in your case... I'm just chuckling.

P.s there was and is, and huge opposition to hosting the Olympics. but grown ups, you know real people who pay real taxes, have to foot the bill. a bill that is now 3 times the original estimate.

that said, I am personally in favour of the Olympics, it's at least a real event.

"ok that's just pure fiction. the papers barely covered the games when they were in manchester! stop making things up to support a ludicrous position.

the exposure would be huge in your imagined fantasy world I grant you, but you do realise the difference between reality and make believe don't you? you could be Heather Mills McCartney's long lost love child :) "

I must admit, he is a hard nut to crack with his insight into things. How can you argue when he puts facts up like that.

Near impossible.

what's to argue? you make things up, get called. end of story.

Ofcourse the fact I am argueing for a better Adelaide, has nothing to do with the fact it annoys me that he dismisses them even though he does not live here.

you're not arguing for a better adelaide. you're just repeating silly notions because you're not able to process counter points, and more sophisticated lines of thought. that's about you, not the argument, and not Adelaide.

BTW India is hosting the next Commonwealth games.

woo hoo!! are you going?

Heres what he said "ok that's just pure fiction. the papers barely covered the games when they were in manchester! stop making things up to support a ludicrous position."

Claming the papers barely covered the games is ludicruous as he would say. Unless he was living in Australia at the time, in which his view is about as credible as any other Australian.

now I think this is a fair question? are you erm, a little *slow*?
you made the point about what was in the UK papers when you were in London. why would I need to be in australia to know what was written in the UK papers while you were in London?

you're confusing yourself, but not fooling anyone else.

I don't think anyone can every know if they have the majority behind them on such issues. But going by polls and general opinion when talking to people, it seems a CBD stadium does have a big following (I know polls are tainted apparently).

so naive. if the majority of people want it, it will happen via a populist democratic process. what are you are unable to do, is appreciate that there is a difference between on a poll of 2000 people, on a footy related page at the advertiser, on a footy related subject and the rest of the population. I appreciate you don't understand the problem there, so there's no point thinking you can. However your local political party can.

If you think you speak for the majority, you can stand for parliament yourself. you can be a single issue politican. It worked for Nick Xenophon, why not you?

Well you have me there, what I more meant was, he is not even from Adelaide and he is dismissing everything I say, but offering no solution. Then why even add to the arguement at all. Kristoff has changed his mind, but atleast he has put forward his opinions and thoughts honestly.

I dismiss most of what you say, for the quality of the opinion. you say silly things, lots of people tell you that it's silly, and you repeat it again 2 days later as if it's new and fresh.

The things I listed are to do with Adelaide the city, controlled by the ACC. Popular opinion is behind all the things I listed, as can be seen by the constant draft ideas for Vic Sq, raising the height limit (which was defeated at a recent Council meeting), and most recently the massive debate on the stadium, which is now part of a major parties vision for the city.

I am not going to reply to the rest of your posts, because quite honestly all you do is hang crap and make witty comments.

Cheerio.

what massive debate on the stadium?

I saw some whingeing.
I saw the SANFL say, sure, these are our conditions
I saw a deafening silence?

as for part of a major parties vision for the city. you have a lot to learn about these things, it's called fishing. they want to see if there is any traction in the idea.

but fear not, if there are enough people who want a stadium it will become part of the liberal parties policy manifesto. you and everyone can then vote on that. what's the problem? if consensus is with you, you'll have approval for a new stadium shortly. what's the problem?

mind you, they may just as well recycle the Multi Function Polis... :)

no surprise there. when can we expect you to return from the land of make believe to repeat the same old nonsense though? tomorrow, the day after, maybe a resurrection on sunday?

It was about as a big debate on anything in Adelaide as there has been. Up there challenging the Makris site.:p.

I saw proposals, public debate, the SANFL coming out and saying something completely ridiculous, more debate and ideas, the SANFL coming out and saying they would upgrade the stadium, even though it was revealed that was what they had always planned (consulted Kate Ellis weeks before actually announcing it).

No you bitter old man, I am not going to reply to some of the **** you write. I'll keep harping on to see a better result then what we currently have in regards to AAMI Stadium, a new stadium or even a multi use Adelaide Oval.
