Yes yes we all remember the success stories like Kevin Walsh but don't forget the failures as well like Mcallister, Doolan, McGrath, Banks, Lallich & Fraser. We aren't running a charity here & with lists a lot shorter than they used to be we simply can't afford to have guys taking up spots for years on end without performing.

Agreed.

Which is why this year is surely his last chance to show something.

Even if he ends up failing as a top-level footballer, there's no need to hate the guy as so many do around here.

In fact, there are lots of NASTY PEOPLE around here. (not directed at you OB1....just a general observation) Have you people never failed anything in your lives? What if you were to fail trying to achieve your dream, as Henneman is a chance of doing?

OB1 - I'd do well to remember the "failures" like Doolan and co (not that I've forgotten!) but perhaps you'd do well to remember that many big men take a long time to mature as players. Many turn out to be very good players too. This is obviously the punt they are taking on Henneman. It may pay off, and who will look like idiots when it happens?

My guess is the same people bagging Henneman are the same people who used to constantly bag Salmon, Walsh, Wallis etc....

Although come to think of it, I think all of us have probably bagged all of them at some point.... :)

Guilty as charged.

But there's no need nasty about it.

Serviceable game for Henno.

But really - that's about as good as it gets for him. If his best game is merely serviceable and his worst game is laughable, he's not in our best 22. It's that simple.

almost every hitout in the last term found a rover, well done. Will be in next week again I imagine.

He's too small to compete against the best ruckmen, but when he gets first hand on the ball like he did a few times today he actually knows what he's doing.

Only sometimes - in front of me yesterday i saw him palm a ball uncontested to a collingwood player with 3 - yes 3 Dons players around him.

Fire trUCK him of to the magoos where he belongs. no room in the team with allan coming back this week.

Alternatively, you could say that the Dons players weren't watching Henno, and the Pies player was - you can tell where a ruckman is going to put it before he actually hits it, and it is the midfielders job to ********ing GO there.
