Maybe so, I just can't warm to him. Jim Maxwell's voice will cure cancer.

Skull's best asset is still his analysis of the game. As funny as he is, if he did not have the great knowledge that he does, he would not be the gem that he is.

Don't see anything wrong with him. In fact he provides great insight.
I think someone has had a word to Lawson as he seems a bit better this year. In was the constant negativity he used to have in previous series which annoyed people. Everything was always done better in his day, all the players playing were terrible, the captains all have no idea and so on with him... sure point out some negative points but you need to counter that with the positives when they were there, something he never did up until this summer.

Roebuck sorely missed on radio? Not really, as nasty as this may sound, not long after I was aware of his death, I thought to myself quietly "Yay, he won't be on the radio anymore"Roebuck is sorely missed (on radio at least) for a broader perspective on the game. l really wish they had somehow convinced Gideon Haigh to jump in the slot.
. Yeah, no worries.agree to disagree obviously
Kerry told a joke which I completely didn't get, but his cackling still made me laugh.
.

I for one have really missed Glenn Mitchell on this summer's cricket coverage.
I know why he is not there. For others who don't, have a look at his website - glennmitchell.com.au - he writes some interesting stuff on there about sport but it also gives an insight into the battles he has with mental illness.
It is sad that in these times the ABC could not have seen it within itself to have offered an opportunity for him to come back.
I think it is sad that someone who has such a talent for what he did cannot find a niche back on air anywhere.
He covered so many different sports for the ABC over such a long period.
One day I hope we get to hear his voice again, especially with K O'K!![]()
I think if I could choose anybody to be an MC at an event I was hosting, it would be Skull.![]()
That probably nails my thoughts on Fleming as well. Straight from Fox sports commentary, just talks a bit of crap (Highway of hesitation and about 15 other descriptions for that area) and tries to relate everything to AFLFleming is ill-judged and should be on MMM
I heard Mitchell had pretty heavy bi-polar and has come through the other side doing much better than he was (which is good) but what actually happened between him and Wheeldon?Am I right in saying that the ABC in WA won't have him back because Clint Wheeldon refuses to work with him again? Understandably, given what went on, IMO.
But would it be Australia-wide? If not, he could move to the eastern states and fit in quite nicely in Victoria. Hell, his wife is from NSW - the could move there and he could call Sydney Swans and GWS games.
Did it involve an economist and shoes?
