Ablett's list looks gaudy, but every single accolade is from the same season.

Both players have had one outstanding year, of which Ablett's was clearly more outstanding...but on the other hand, it's not unreasonable to think that Hodge has been classed as a top-level performer for longer than Ablett has (ie. before last season, Hodge would win this poll comfortably).

So it's probably too tight to call right now.

all of hodges awards are from the 1 season 2.

I dont understand this hodge more consitant over as number of years, the reality is that theres not much diffrence between them in terms of consitnat years , how many elite years has hodge had ? 1 is it not in 05

the fact that abletts best year is better than hodges best year wouldnt that prove that ablett has more ability and potential than hodge does and is therefor a better player ?

lol at all these people who perceive hodge to be a more tougher,consistant and more of a leader/team player.At the end of the day ablett has that much more ability,is the more skilled and therefore better player.

I think some people on this board very much underate ablett.The media dont as most media people have him top 5 buy people on bf seem to.There was a poll a few months ago I think which was bartel v ablett and bartel when I last lookd was just ahead.This is not true at all as nuch as bartel is a champ, ablett is better the quality of his possession's are just unbelievable.The way he breaks out of tackles and can keep his feet,those miracle goals he kicks, and those lighting quick handballs.He is the most naturally talented player in the comp

You seem to forget that Ablett was an average player before 07 whereas Hodge has been fairly classy for his whole career
