I watched a few overs last night. The camera work really pissed me off. Every time the ball was smashed in the air the cameras would zoom in on it and you would have no idea until the ball landed whether it was out of the ground or straight to a fielder

This drives me crazy. The networks here are guilty of it too.

Zoom out and let us see what's actually happening! A huge six on TV doesn't look very spectacular when the camera is zoomed in so much that you can't see anything but a close up of the ball!

Things I didn’t like after watching Gayle’s 80-odd off about 10 balls:

- the standard was abysmal
- Danny Morrison commentating
- the obvious lack of interest anyone had in actually playing

I'd had a few barley waters last night so watched Gayle v Rashid and Eoin Morgan v Andre Russell. I still feel a little bit ill inside.

I live down the road from the stadium but haven't even been tempted to go once - maybe now we have a long weekend I might consider it. It is a great complex for many sports. Plenty of ovals including smaller ones for kids cricket where I take our school team down for matches.

I like it for what it is. A combination of retired players that still wanna have a hit, eg Morgan, Raina, etc. and the up and coming players that can’t really get themselves in the domestic t20 leagues.
This has lead to some domestic selections, eg Livingstone, but I think these players still need to prove themselves at t20 level before being considered the real deal

For all the modern gimmickry, 1 v 1 was actually one of the earliest types of cricket played.
