I don't understand how some have written him off straight away. Even more for those people who just wanted to see a cover band singer do the job. You don't move forward as a band by hiring cover band musicians. Brian Johnson was a world apart from Bon Scott to start with.

No one out ego's the Young family, and I mean that with respect. It's their band and I'm sure Axl will keep in check if he wants to stay there.

Heard some of the show. The thing with Axl is that when Brian sang Bon songs it didn't sound right, now its worse.

I certainly won't be paying to see them again.

I do like the mixed set, its been a while but I dunno. Just didn't get me in

Those videos did make the sound mixing sound very very average as well. That done it no favours.
I thought the last show here wasn't great in that regard, certainly not like some previous

Tbh I'm worried there's a serious danger of him out shining the rest of the band with his energy and attitude.

Angus sounds sloppy and the rhythm section, as tight and reliable as always, is too happy to be third fiddle to those 2 in the sound.

Sounds alright to me.

Maybe the hardest song in the catalog for a newbie to pull off. Sounds OK but his voice lacks a little power, as always.

They've dropped Play Ball from the setlist and added Got Some Rock & Roll Thunder, Rock 'n' Roll Damnation & Riff Raff. 22 tracks with maybe Damnation the shortest at around three minutes, good value.

What could be hurting his voice is that he has a broken toe and, from what I saw, he was sitting down for the entire concert.

Yeah, perhaps. They've gone from Bon performing impromptu boogie (and sometimes hanging upside down from scaffolding!) to Brian lurching around pumping his fists, to Axl being stuck in a chair, with Angus slowing down all the while. Good effort to earn positive reviews.

I'd buy a live album if they culled one from the dozen Axl shows, just to see.

Hopefully when his toe's right he's up and about again. Saw Gunners out here a few years ago and he's still got it.

Yeah for a bloke whose supposedly been a housebound MIA paranoid nutjob for the best part of the last twenty years i thought he went alright.

Not sure if legit but sounds like it. Guy comes out on the balcony of his flat and in the distance AC/DC are rehearsing Hell's Bells before the Lisbon concert. Love how at 0:25 people on the nearby station platform stop and turn.. Axl did a decent job, considering he was sitting down. Did the Bon songs great.

He can't pull of those quickfire lyrics that don't allow time to breath like Brian, nor can he sustain those long screams, but everything else is great vocal wise.

Seriously though, that sound is average. What the hell? It's so soft and plain. The drums have no oomph, the guitars have no bite, and the bass has no feeling. Other than that, looks great. Axl could really energise the whole band.

I don't hate it....It kind of rocks.

Bon had an edgy vocal style but was occasionally capable of hitting a sweet note, like a diamond in the rough. Brian's voice was melodic only in a very gruff sense, and IMO that's where AC/DC suffered most as a live act - the tunes carried the day while the vocals differed little from show to show and even song to song. A 1985 show sounds similar to one from 2015. Twenty years ago I owned a stack of vinyl bootlegs; I knew the quirks of the Bon shows off by heart, but some of the Brian discs barely got a run.

In his prime, Axl's voice was brittle but distinctive enough to set GnR apart. Hoping he sounds a bit more tuneful when he gets up and about. If they just wanted a shouter, they could've done better.
