Insanely awesome concert tonight (Saturday Night)!!! Angus on full song rocking out with his solos as always. The Big screen and sets were something to behold
Extra bonus with some fine girls flashing their t***ies on the big screen. Some good sets on all as well.

Great night!

I was there, it was brilliant. The solo in Let There Be Rock was just amazing. Also the way the rythum section didn't drop a beat - I thought the loss of Malcolm Young would have had more of an impact.

The Hives were rubbish though.

Was wondering how they'd go live minus the great man as well. LTBR is always exhilirating and going by a few reviews AC/DC still going strong

Just posted this in the song contest thread, but worth a share here too

Just on the bus after the show......... wow. Brian gives every single thing he has, not sure there's much left in the old bloke but he still puts on a show. Angas is Angas, that'll never change and was very surprised by how well Stevie goes..... in the genes I guess. Sladey is a far more energetic drummer than Phil is too.

The atmosphere at AO is electric whatever is going on, however if anyone was up in the stands what was the sound quality like. Heard it was average at the Stones and I know for a fact it is during AFL games when the PA is on.

My quick thoughts on the Adelaide concert.

Brian continues to give his all and still hits the big notes, unfortunately it's the inbetween parts that are suffering, and none of us would blame him for taking it down a few notches if we get a most consistent performance. Physically though, he's as good as ever, full of energy and theatre. Same for Angus, he hasn't lost anything, never missed a beat, and that guitar solo, woah, super impressive. Better than Black Ice tour.

The rest of the band was tight as ****, Chris has always been a great drummer, but has used his time away from the band to find the groove that Phil would bring, much less mechanical, although once I swear I seen Brian turn to face the him and throw his arms in the air. Stevie slotted straight in to rhythm guitar seamlessly and sang well, and Cliff was as reliable as ever.

The sound quality was heavy as ****, the guitars sounded like it was a metal gig, the drums and bass were huge and pounding. I've been critical of them sounding a bit clean and a bit soft recently, but not on Saturday. The mixing was a little off, Brian was hard to hear in parts and anyone not familiar with the songs would've been lost, not knowing when it was a verse of chorus, or no vocals at all.

Overall, yeah, they've slowed down in a few areas, but anyone suggesting they've lost it is crazy. They've still got it in spades, and still one of the best rock shows on Earth.

Didn't catch Kingswood, but I have to compliment the Hives, they were great, the singer was full of energy and attitude, unfortunately the rest of the band stood flat footed all night and left the heavy lifting in the performance to him, but he took it all and smashed it. I always passed them of as some dour Franz Ferdinand knockoff, but after Saturday there's a lot of respect and admiration for them. Good music performed tight with a hungry and raw energy that did Rock 'n' Roll proud.

I just wish Aussie crowds were more vocal and more informed about what they're about to take part in, I reckon I was the only bloke in my area shouting "Angus" between the Rosie riff, as the tradition is.

Did they play shake a leg and riff raff?

The two songs I think are their bestest.

Apparently they only every played shake a leg once, and riff raff is pretty rare, dunno if Brian has ever done it.

Tell ya what, one song that I don't understand why it is a permanent fixture in their live act, hell ain't a bad place to be. It's good, but good enough to be played every gig since it was written 40 years ago? I don't think so. Definitely some other songs they could break out for the fans in its place.

not live in concert but first song here is Riff Raff sung by Brian

Has Gone Shootin' got a run at any of the gigs? Not a huge fan of Brian singing it but it is a magnificent song - easily in my AC/DC top 5. Powerage would be in my top 3 albums too.
