I'm heading to AC/DC on Saturday night, but got screwed over with our accommodation, just checked where I was staying, a couple of hours ago, yep, you guessed it, double booked! Screw you Hotel Grand Chancellor!

Been trying frantically to find something else close to town, seeing that I'm not that familiar with the "Burbs" so to speak Not real keen to spend more than $350 for the one night, seeing there's 2 of us. Was hoping a little "Local Knowledge" might help me out?

There are a few hotels and serviced apartments along St Kilda Rd Melbourne and in Southbank, BoomerRoo.

It might pay to check them out.

On that note, Hotel Urban (formerly The Marque Hotel) on Fitzroy Street could be worth a try. Not cheap, but it's a nice joint.

Failing that, you could always email The Chief for a comprehensive list of the most comfortable couches in the city area.
