If your not tough or can't kick you are up against it in A grade - will be found out. You would need to be exceptional at everything else. In saying that if his kicking was broken down and reworked for 12-18 months who knows.

He is as tough as they come, so thats not an issue.

I wouldn't rate him a bad kick, more that you need to be an above average kick to be playing in the middle or as an undersized defender.

Woukdn't say he has elite vision by hand either, starting to think him playing as a 3rd tall forward could be a master stroke - will be interesting to see his game vs the swans

He has a long, long way to go, but I also project him to be a forward (in the Mihocek mould).

I'll jump in here, as some of them have valid reasons.

I think Kinnear, Jones, Lucas, MacKay, Benton and Hall are all 17.

Though I'm pretty certain that Jones, Mackay and Hall were all in the team last year and suffered season ending injuries, so fair enough they get another go I guess.

Benton is a strange one, not unknown, not injured, not a late DOB and been part of academy previously.

They might just feel their midfield needs a bit of size and strength, as he is a big lad.

Some more clips from Round 4 of the Coates Talent League.
These are not the usual "warts & all" offering, just some of the better moments.

A few of those eligible for 2025 draft, as was Prindable above.
(Note: Gilder and Hewitt are overagers)

Charlie Hewitt #38

Harrison Bridge #15
Ryan Gilder #34

Wouldn’t mind seeing Hewitt in the vfl. He looked a bit of a giant against the cats under 18. Noting he is an overage. Would be good to see how he goes against bigger bodied players.
Naah, keep him hidden.
Remember the last Key Forward we brought in to see how he goes.
Bang, he announced himself and Geelong pounced with a high-ish bid.

Oscar Barry never gets the recognition others do, but he’s always been one of my favourites, every time I’ve watched his age group play.
