ACC bit picky for my liking

Now people let's not get in too deep here. But I ask you why does Mr Fels have anti competitive rules for some and not others?

What I'm talking on here is going to a pub in South Melbourne or the Spring Racing Carnival and having to buy tooheys!! Why can't I buy CUB? This is what I'd call anti competitive behaviour.

Please note CUB also does the same with toohaeys. I want choice and I want it now. Please somke legal guru expalin why Fels can harrass telstra and other companies, but this is right under his nose and he does nothing.

Don't start me on petrol prices!! Jump 10 cents in one day yeah right!!

Lion Nathan own the pub and chose to stock the pubs with their product. There is no law that dictates they have to stock CUB.

It's a bit like a Nike store. Do you think they are going to sell anything other than their products?

But old Ro Boy it's not fair So explain Telstra owns the telecommunications network why does that have to be lent to other carriers? If Telstra was privatised would the other carriers have to leave? I say give me my beer of choice at any pub.

So by that logic, you are demanding (with force of law) that every pub in Australia be required to stock every form of beer known to man just in case someone wants it?


Telstra lends its network because it was established by legislation and is still ruled by legislation, and may even be so if it ever gets privatised. The cost of setting up another national telco network is billions, competition would simply never get off the ground. The cost of you going to another pub is s.f.a.

CUB do this too. They buy pubs off publicians and make it a particular beer they only sell.

A lot of pubs in South Melbourne and Hawthorn have been brought out by Tooheys.

Yeah but it sucks, when we win the premiership next year no partying in any Toohey's pubs. Strictly coles bottle shop straight onto Glenferrie oval. I know you'll love this comment Old Ro Boy!

I don't know if you get the show called How Green Was My Cactus but it does a really good impersonation of Fels and all the Politicians.

The show takes the micky out of everyone who is involved with politics and who lives in this world. It's a bit like The Bladder.
