For seven years, an accused sexual offender is alleged to have preyed on women, children, people with disabilities and dogs around the NSW tourist hub of Byron Bay.

Bangalow man Dean Anthony Sellenthin’s alleged spree of more than 200 offences ended with his arrest in 2017.

While it is not clear from court documents what brought Sellenthin to the attention of police, they allege his offending began in 2011.

Court documents allege Sellenthin committed a slew of sexual offences which range from stalking to producing child abuse material.

They allege he also committed acts of bestiality against a number of dogs, including a golden retriever and a dog named “Bear”.
