It bugs me when Kane always says a certain player is an "All-Time" record holder at Port Adelaide when he only refers to the last 22 years.

Here is my Top 10 Port Adelaide players of "All Time".
  1. Bob Quinn
  2. Russell Ebert
  3. Warren Tredrea
  4. Gavin Wanganeen
  5. Harold Oliver
  6. Scott Hodges
  7. Greg Phillips
  8. Tim Evans
  9. Geof Motley
  10. Robbie Gray
Everyone will differ on what they value.

I rate Robbie Gray above Wanganeen in the AFL era.

You could argue that factoring in Wanganeens 1 SANFL season and 1 SANFL flag closes the gap, but I don't think it makes Wanganeen so far ahead of Robbie Gray where one is 4th and one is 10th.

Fair call.

How would your 10 shape?

I can only talk about players I saw live and Sid Ween

1-Sid Ween
2-Russell Ebert
3-Warren Tredrea
4-Chad Cornes
5-Robbie Gray
6-Scott Hodges
7-Gavin Wanganeen
8-Tim Evans
9-Greg Phillips
10-Russell Johnston
11-Tom Clurey

Tom Clurey is in the list because my love for him is very strong not because he is one of Port Adelaide’s greatest ever players

I started watching footy in 2002 so it would be hard for me to make a list.

Russell Eberts CV makes him the GOAT, purely based on my dad saying Robran and Ebert (He's a Sturt fan so loves bringing up Paul Bagshaw too) were the 2 best SANFL players he's seen.

Bob Quinns life story is truly remarkable, but on the field does it surpass Ebert?

My grandfather ranked Bob Quinn above Ebert - reluctantly conceded Barry Robran was probably even better than both. I value his opinion pretty highly so I'll always put Quinn right near the top in any of these lists I do in my head. Russell will always be number 1 for me.

Greg Phillips never gets ranked as highly as he deserves in these lists. How spectacularly brilliant he was before he went to Collingwood seems to get forgotten. Collingwood put about 20 kilos on him and turned him into a gorilla full back. He was so much better than that before

At one point in time there would have been quite a lot of people who would've seen Quinn and Ebert in their prime.

1939 and 1980.

A 20 year old in 1939 would have been 61 in 1980.

That covers my grandparents generation. I heard the opinions of quite a few who saw them both play. They all would have had them 1 and 2 in our greatest ever.

I think it is fair to talk about the best PAFC players in terms of AFL or SANFL era, I can't see anything wrong with that. It'll always be a defining difference between 2 parts of our history. So I wouldn't be getting upset about it.

2) Peter Walsh
3) Lewis Stevenson
4) Jay Nash
5) Aaron Shattock
6) Ben Eckermann
