I have heard rumblings that he may be pulling a Harley Balic and asking for a move back to a melbourne based club.

He has told his manager he didn't want to sign a contract extension. A worrying sign. Apparently freo wanted him at #2 in the draft and he said he didn't want to go there. Freo said if you're still there at #5 we are picking you. Not good when these kids get groomed by a club and start suggest homesickness etc. but it is what it is until the rules change and a players mental health comes first.

Interesting he is a North fan and like Paddy Dow and Stephenson he hinted at North being the place he wanted to go on draft night.

Well I’m convinced. He was definitely desperate to get to North!

Correct. His mum is a pies fan though so he was fairly rapt to get to us and loves it from the reports on our board we’re getting from a family friend.

Carlton will have a top 7 pick. I think you will need to offer a top 7 pick to get Freo to consider it, I think the issue for Carlton is that it will be top 3 which is probably overs.

Pick 3 isn't overs.

We picked him at 5, he only slipped to 5 because of his injury concerns. He has done nothing but increase his value this season so far.

The club wouldn't for a second contemplate trading him for a pick in the 5-7 range.

If a Melb club comes knocking I'd expect Freo to give them the same response as they did Gold Coast. Give us Pick 2 - no negotiation.

Caught a couple Freo games this year and Cerra has looked promising, no problem in not re-signing yet as his value will continue to climb. Hope he stays at Freo.

Cerra's upside is significantly higher than what Weller's is, and his original draft pick much higher as well.

Your post has been up for 4 minutes already and no response as of yet. Things are really moving slow.

If Carlton are wanting to fix up their midfield that trade could do it. Cerra is tracking beautifully, and there will be another gun available at 6, with the King's and Lukosius clearing out the majority of picks prior to that.
