Ahh ya dirty rotten scoundrel
Ahh ya white maggot
Ahh ya etc etc

Get over yourselves. Racist remarks don't have a place in sport and either do wardances directed towards a crowd.
If the Queen, the President and Oprah can handle it then I'm sure a crowd of footy fans will be ok.

So now you to brand all hawks supporters racist and we are not allowed any right of reply.

Thus whole thing is ridiculous
I have absolutely no doubt, a large percentage of hawthorn, latte sipping, flog fans, as racist to blacks. (some of) Your Malvern, Armadale, Toorak types. Be it flat out dislike, or more undertone subtle racism as caro was alluding to

i am just not comfortable being told who i am allowed to boo and who i am not.

Then offer a retort in a sensible manner.

And its not ludicrous, do you even know how to use big words in context?
Definition of ludicrous from Webster's dictionary: amusing or laughable through obvious absurdity, incongruity, exaggeration or eccentricity. 2-meriting derisive laughter or scorn. Example. The opinion that anyone who dislikes Adam Goodes must be racist, is a ludicrous opinion. Ok maybe I added an example that really wasn't from Webster's. :D

BTW is ludicrous considered a "big" word? Why I think that's preposterous. :D

I have less care about this subject than you do, could not be arsed wasting my time trying to come up with a reply that is adequate for your standards. Get ****** fool.

The sad thing is, my fellow aussies havent got the brain capacity to be self aware.
The reality is that you may encounter someone intellectually superior to yourself, more widely travelled, better educated and with greater self awareness, who doesn't agree with your take on the world. Relegating everyone who doesn't see things as you to being red necked, unaware or just plain stupid just shows a lack of maturity on your part IMO.

One cant help to feel that way when the majority just dont want to know and continue with their low brow behaviour. It leaves one with no other option but to form critical judgements.

Shrug.

I have heard many footballers, cricketers, rugby players boo'd in my time, never found it annoying tbh and part of parcel of watching a tribal sports competition.

But in Goodes instance there is an undertone there, the more people deny the more obvious it has become.

I accept that, but its gone beyond just not liking goodes for his horrors against humanity on the football field, that you must concede.
No, I don't. He plays football, he isn't a political figure or above reproach.

Why should I listen to him over someone who isn't gifted to kick a sherrin

Kidding, right?
I thought it was keeping with Goodes demeanor and skill at self-promoting, self-victimization and self-aggrandizement.
Here's another possible interpretation. His dance was an exuberant display of cultural pride.

Heaven forfend we ever let exuberance loose on the footy field.

Lets get this straight, Goodes does a provoking dance towards the Carlton fans(they didn't understand the meaning), they proceed to boo him for it, and now they are all seen as booing him because they are racist.. give me a spell.
Let's get this straight. Goodes is playing a game of football and hears provocative abuse being hurled over the fence (which whether understood by the perpetrator can have definite racial connotations), he then proceeds to take a stance by turning and pointing out that individual and now he is seen as a bully? This is fun. I like this game.
