Maybe Im naive but having a good mate on the board does raise some questions I'd have thought

Im not on any boards (and unlikely to ever be) but I reckon I'd find it hard to be impartial when voting for a mate to be sacked

Yes he is a football person and he has been a football person at those clubs. No problem if you want to be on the board and sit in the background but surely you don't want him involved with football now? I think his time has passed.

It’s a really annoying trend for people to claim something is well known or common knowledge, then get their hackles up when questioned about whether it’s well known or common knowledge or even the case at all.

If I was a cynical man, I’d say that they’re just saying stuff that suits them and adding “it’s common knowledge that…” in order to give that stuff an undeserved air of legitimacy. Good thing I’m not that.

Nah it’s well known you just make stuff up. Ask anyone. It’s common knowledge. I’ve heard it on good authority. And according to reliable sources. A mate of mine’s workmate whose brother knows your neighbour’s sister told me. Anyway you can’t prove it’s untrue.

What i heard was they had cheese and onion shapes and those garbage bbq shapes so the rushed the meeting so no one had to eat that garbage..

Would have been a week long session if savoury shapes were put out.

Anyway, speculate and debate away. The fact is the board didn't terminate his contract early, so Simmo remains the coach. Nothing on here will change that, and it is hardly a surprise he has various levels of relationships with some of the board members, none of which would have been a secret to the others, nor grounds to disqualify them from participating.

Heard they had lunch at Leeuwin, ordered the 2009 art series chardonnay and left Lyon with the bill. Has been trying to get them sacked as retribution.

Also heard he slipped on the Busselton jetty and had to be carried off crying on a stretcher
