Like most BF posters, I know better than any other professional coach/staff member in the AFL and I was waiting to be convinced in the early days. But FMD the guy just gets your team the results. Everybody talks up Clarke and fair enough I suppose, but Simmo deserves to lauded among the very best going around. The guy knows what he's doing and gets a team, in just about any circumstances, heading in the right direction.

Will likely be cheering Collingwood only because of Mayne ... I'm a sucker for lost causes . But credit where it's due, Eagles are a solid, balanced team (and nearly always underrated) that is supper well coached. Enjoy the week and what likely comes after.

EB68 did something that’s far too rare online and calmly and measuredly said he‘d changed his mind and moved forward. I know I was the main culprit for hounding him about his Simmo stance, so I have to own that I played my part in exacerbating the shit vibes surrounding the topic of Simmo. Admitting you’ve updated your opinion is a great trait, and EB is a great man. I bloody love this board.
