Not entirely true. Q-stick enhanced the degree of difficulty by dropping pretty much every mark that came his way and having to gather and snap.

That was how he used to play, but obviously somebody got hold of him and corrected this flaw. In the last year or two his nickname was velvet gloves and held almost every mark! He was a delight to watch.

I'm not sure what happened to Lynch part way through 2006 but he went from a mediocre full forward to one who kicked them from anywhere.
Rounds 1-13, 21 goals @ 1.6 a game
Rounds 14-GF, 44 goals @ 3.38 a game
Lynch doesn't lift and become that focal point we need, then we don't win the flag IMO

It must be said has an Eagles team ever been so consistent in Melbourne? To be honest though this team could well be one of the greatest in the modern era. Have to win b2b though to be in that conversation
