In a weird way, pick 9 is probably more valuable to GWS than pick 3 because pick 9 will be used for Hopper/Kennedy whereas pick 3 can't be used unless Brisbane and Carlton bid on them (which leads to GWS needing to pay more points, or don't match and take Schache/Weitering).
Probably right, depends if the Academy Kids receives bids for them (which they will more likely than not likely). Unlikely pick 9 will be enough for both and if they want both more likely than not will be in big deficit for 2016. Not sure how this can work for GWS.
If need be, GWS won't have any trouble acquiring some additional picks. Plenty of guys with currency on that list that they could comfortably part with and not be too upset about it. Lots of guys in the reserves who are far too good to be languishing down there

The rumour on Kreuzer is interesting on list management point of view not that I agree with it. But if true makes sense to force a pick 3 then try and get it back for academy picks. In relation to cap space not sure this is 100% correct because you won't have any room to resign players coming out of contract next season if reporting is correct. Just doesn't add up.
And that would be why we dont have the cap space to match it or give kreuzer a mill.
Our list managers are planning ahead.

You're right....Plowman, Sumner, Hampton can get half decent coin for them. If that's the case then why don't they match Treloars offers.

OK, Witts/Jetta/WC/Swans/Collingwood hypothetical.

Witts to Sydney.
Jetta to WC
Pick swaps obviously favourable to Collingwood.

WC's pick 15 to Collingwood.
Sydney's second rounder also traded to Collingwood, pick 34.

Pies gain picks 15 and 34 used to be packaged for Treloar and Hampton... Thoughts...?
What the actual ****.

Its called building a culture. A lot of kids have already signed for less than they could get on the open market. I can see how this concept is lost on you.

No more than second rounders for that lot, and that's being generous.
2nd rounders can still help you get those academy selections this year and next. If they need to get more of these ridiculous points, they've got options is all I'm saying. Plenty of flexibility to accomplish whatever they want to.

I'm really interested to see whether some clubs will be really bold and try to acquire a guy like Hopper via trade. GWS have plenty of high quality young kids, particularly mids. Another one, as highly as Hopper is rated, isn't really their most pressing need. It would take some sort of offer, but I'd love to see someone try. The notion that he desperately wants to stay and play in NSW might be a little overstated too. He went to boarding school in Victoria all year. Doesn't seem too concerned about travelling to ply his trade at all.

I think Hopper is our Treloar replacement.

Not sure what can be read into polls, but the latest age poll, Where will Adam Treloar play next season? Richmond 50.75% (3,464 votes, Collingwood 31.75% (2,167 votes, Somewhere else 9.32% (636 votes, GWS Giants 4.5% (307 votes, North Melbourne 3.68% (251 votes. Here's hoping.

Treloar only voted for him self 2167 times he could have done better.

Absolutely nothing, because people like us can vote and we have absolutely no idea.

It's mostly Richmond and Pies fans trolling the news for Treloar updates every morning and night, so naturally we're going to be the top two candidates in that regard.

Those who go for neither Richmond or Collingwood will vote for you as you're currently having a better season than what we are, and the media speculation is that it's out of us and yourselves...

Most people vote to troll C'wood if they can. TheAge is a pay site, which explains the lack of C'wood support.
I would like to see the wormfeed of that poll. I doubt the GWS count is still only 4,5% if poll was done again.
