Oppo Camp Adam Treloar (Traded to Bulldogs 2020)

I can live with our other injured players and Jordan's suspension, but not to have Treloar ready for round one would be a monumental disaster. No need to play Treloar at all in the JLT games if it means we have him available for the first game.

What happened on Chanel 7 why did they even think it was a story?

Doorstopped him exiting the scan clinic. Any player going for a scan is a potential story, it's why they hang at the front door.

He'll miss one JLT match at worst and people think he's done for 4-6 weeks..jesus.

What concerns me is he carried a sore groin all last year and already has issues with it before the season even begins.

What long term impact is playing through this having on his body? Judd was stuffed by his mid 20s at WC for doing the same thing and luckily was good enough to redefine his role and how he played at Carltank.

Ball was also completely screwed by Saints doing similar playing through OP at a young age, Ball actually had a faster 20m time then Judd when drafted but by the time he was 23 was rooted and could no longer kick over distance.

I hope this "rest does nothing for it, might as well play through it" doesn't ruin his ability to break from stoppages over time or effect his kicking (which those who claim to know him already eluded too last year for his errant kicking).

He has a long career ahead of him and if surgery gives him a chance to fully heal but miss a half season then so be it. Enough short sighted injury management it always ends up dragging on for longer anyway.

*Don't know exact details of his injury only surmising from what little we know.

Let's see if he plays jlt

I'd be disappointed if he played more than 1 JLT game even before there was any suggestion he might have hurt himself Thursday night. He (apparently) struggled through 2017 with a groin issue so routine scans would be a reasonable expectation in terms of the ongoing management of that, but then he did seem to pull up sore after 1 incident Thursday so maybe there has been a recurrence. Only time will tell.

Best two lines in the movie

"This one goes to eleven"

and

"Its just not really widely reported"
So many best lines.

Love the eleven.

Why not just put the ten up, but there’s eleven

He’s struggled his entire career with it, even prior to us trading for him so agree that routine scans are likely. As are scans when there’s even a mild change in discomfort.

Collingwood midfielder Adam Treloar will miss the Magpies' opening JLT Series match against the Giants on Thursday, but rejected suggestions he had a lingering injury concern.

Treloar laughed off being spotted at a scans clinic earlier this week, and the club dismissed speculation he had groin soreness, saying they were opting for a conservative approach after Treloar copped a few knocks during an intra-club match last week.

''The body's fine,'' Treloar said. "Everything's all good. (It was) just a maintenance check.

''With about three, four weeks left before the season you want to make sure you're in fine nick.''

Treloar said he expected the Pies to build up to ''close to a full strength team'' for the season opener against Hawthorn at the MCG on March 24.

Scans for routine management? That's a new one. Only at the Collingwood football club, it would seem.

What if the scans don't show anything, but he is symptomatic?
What if the scan shows something, but he is asymptomatic?

Why not just fix the issue in the first place? That's what they would do at Hawthorn.

Its exactly what Geelong said about Ablett

Club are looking like *absolute ******* dumb campaigners for suspending De Goey now.

*(As dumb as De Goey)
Yeah looking stupid for suspending a player who if wasn't an AFL footballer would be close to jail time..

Yeah get over it.

Like how they fixed O'Meara in the first place?
