How are Crows fans feeling about the rebuild? Midfield looks a big concern to my eye. Sloane wont be there for next tilt. Laird a good player but not a-grade. Keays has been a steal but not top tier either. Crouch on the way out? Big wraps on Sholl but he was dropped this week. Time to get more aggressive at the trade table?

It's a weird one. Schoenberg is going to be a sure-fire gun IMO, and Pedlar/Berry have shown ability this year. Sholl will come on too, he seems to be running out of gas this year but will be better for the run

That said, we certainly need to focus on midfielders in this year's draft. We're lacking class. Jones was kinda meant to be our great white hope, but he's only just found a bit of a niche down back, so that's set us back a bit, but if we can grab a Roberts/Callaghan type (or Horne if you and the Hawks hit form haha), we should hopefully be back on track

Re: the guys already in the middle - most Crows fans are in agreement that Sloane needs to be fazed out of the midfield and onto a forward flank soon, while Crouch may or may not leave - hard to get a read on it at this point. Laird and Keays need to eventually be 3rd to 5th-string midfielders if we're serious about our rebuild, though

pretty well spot on here. Most fans can’t work out why Sloane just didn’t have finger surgery. It’s not like we are competing for finals so why risk it?

Also pretty happy with what our book ends look like now in thilthorpe and butts.

if we hit this draft correctly with our midfield needs and then look to potentially attract back a lukosious or rankine then the rebuild is pretty much right on track.

I think we're looking good in both 50s with some good young talent at both ends.

Doedee, Butts, Hamill, Jones, McPherson, Murray all look good down back with Milera to come back and Smith and Brown to add experience, hopefully Worrell and McAsey come on too.

Up forward, Thilthorpe looks like a future gun, McHenry has been much better this season, Fogarty could be a gun if he gets fitter/leads more, Tex has been brilliant this year, Murphy offers good defensive pressure. Cook and Gollant look very promising in the seconds, Cook especially. Could maybe afford to grab 1 more small/medium forward this year (Dudley or O'Loughlin?)

The midfield is the worry. Sholl, Schoenberg, Berry and Pedlar all look like they'll be good players going forward, Laird and Keays are servicable as inside accumulators but we definitely need 1-2 top end midfield talents.

Personally hoping we can lure Stephens over from Sydney, he's been tearing it up in the VFL but can't get a game for the Swans, add that Sydney's cap is apparently pretty tight and he might be squeezed out.
