I'm just worried that boards can sometimes become 'over modded'.

Every board is severely over modded mate, unfortuantely that's how BF works. However, now that Kane's gone, there may be a little more leeway for the posters - on the Crows board at least.

There's no money involved, you get abused by posters all the time, you get PM's left right & centre, you have to be committed to being on the internet every day basically, handing out bans for petty crap and having posters hate your guts and other dodgy behind the scenes stuff that we don't see.

Waste of time IMO, but someone has to do it.

Sadly - due to increasing work commitments Kane McGoodwin can no longer devote the time to moderate the Adelaide Board.

So increased work commitments is code for second job cause he to must have got the letter from the SACA with next years ashes dates and chance to reserve seats

Already have my SACA membership ... & always find the time to go to all of the tests.

Yeah, you probably won't notice me gone ... though some posters may disagree.

The advantage of a 3rd moderator on a busy board such as this one is that it gives extra coverage for when the other moderators aren't around (we need holidays too). If we found someone who was on the internet 24/7 then only 1 would be needed, but realistically no one is like that.

As for nominations, I think all the ones I would mention have been listed - Macca23, Stiffy18 & Vader would be my picks, but there are plenty of others too who would be more than capable.

England & Europe in 2009 would work well ... & would like to got to the next World Cup in 2011. Great way to travel & combine sport.

The more mods there are on a board the less the burden is for the current AFC mods, I cant speak for bigfooty but I have modded on forums before and the thinking is that ideally at least 1 mod would be moderating every board 24/7, now realistically that isnt possible, but by having multiple mods you are giving more scope for the board to be policed for longer periods of time. So only having 2 mods makes the board more susceptible for inappropriate comments and posts than by having 3.

We cant expect Mad Dog and Nikki to give up their lives to devote to keep the AFC board clean now can we

All MD & I will say at the moment is that a suitable candidate has been contacted, they have agreed to become one of the three musketeers and we are just finishing off the paperwork.

Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday all will be arranged and we will welcome a new Mod to the Adelaide Board and a grand announcement made.

*sniff sniff* It will be sad to see one of the last original BF mods relinquish their role, but I wish Kane all the best for the future and many thanks for your advice over the past year.
