It is ridiculous that Griffin is ahead of Hudson but you end up with similar situations in the Brownlow when you use a system that only allocates votes to the Best 5 (or 3).

Only if you did player ratings like the Club Champion would you get a true reflection of the worth of the player for the whole year.

Not quite. I'd assume you'd take into account every game played in the finals as well just like the Club Champion award.

However only the POTY can change and it needs the Crows to make the prelims and Thompson or Goodwin to play blinders in each game whilst McLeod doesn't get any votes.
