Yes, hopefully most of the public see through these desperate scare tactics.
Every party only played these tactics (more so Libs and UAP)

I didn't see 1 ad throughout the whole campaign about what they're going to do

Bit over hearing about Grace Tame

Whether the story is true of a boat or not she is right regardless. People are not pawns in politics and shouldn't be used to scaremonger. Stopping illegal boats are about saving lives. To use it as election propaganda has totally undermined the LNP and everything they claimed to stand for.

Yes, that is the sad truth that scaremongering is the preferred tactics.

Imagine what a campaign would look like if they created legislation that banned smear campaigns

You seriously post an article quoting Grace Tame the ALP/Albanese Nimber one cheerleader...fair dinkum mate you're triggered.

I can't watch election coverage without thinking 'campaigner' (in the BigFooty sense) every time someone says it.
I meant - WHen you're talking about politicians, campaigners are apt......

And it is true btw. A boat with 40 Sri Lankan illegal immigrants on board. Labor was informed before details were released by Border Force..

Labor home affairs spokeswoman Kristina Keneally noted the party supported the federal government's border security operation and boat turn-backs.
"Labor supports Operation Sovereign Borders – offshore processing, regional resettlement, and boat turn-backs where safe to do so," she said.
"The people smuggling trade is vile and risks the lives of the people at sea."
"To be clear – If you attempt to come to Australia by boat you will not make it and you will be turned around, or sent to Nauru.
"Labor thanks the Operation Sovereign Borders Joint Agency Task Force for their continued work at keeping our borders secure."

The Australian Border Force's Operation Sovereign Borders Commander Rear Admiral Justin Jones said that the vessel was intercepted "in a likely attempt to illegally enter Australia from Sri Lanka".
"The Australian government's policy remains unchanged," he said.
"We will intercept any vessel seeking to reach Australia illegally and to safely return those on board to their point of departure or country of origin.
"Measures and safeguards are in place to enable actions and activities to be undertaken in accordance with Australian domestic law and Australia's obligations under international law.
"The overriding priority for all agencies involved in Operation Sovereign Borders is the safety of all persons involved, including potential illegal immigrants and vessel crews as well as Australian personnel."
A statement by the Sri Lanka Navy said it had "managed to apprehend 40 individuals who attempted to illegally migrate to a foreign country by sea".

The first boat just got in a bit early..forgot the election was not till today

Im in shock at the swing to the Greens. If thats not a kick to the balls of the LNP. It goes to show, the LNPs arrogance against green issues such as climate change was really a shockingly bad misread by Scomo.
Yep I notice you got a laugh from the cheerleader

But they have massively misread Sturt by the looks

Edit - looks like despite the massive swing he may hold it.
