If it is true at all (a BIG IF), then is it more than we are replacing ROC with Constable?

I'm ok with it if it happens. Constable, if he puts it all together, has big upside. It's the sort of risk you don't mind taking when it costs you nothing.
If true definitely would be looking at him as a ROC replacement, could also perhaps mean we are seriously looking at Josh Rachele?

Lienert 28 already jesus, should have moved clubs a lot earlier if he wanted an AFL career.

DOB 5 Aug 1994. How do you get '28 already' from that?

We have plenty of older players on the list. Lynch is 4 years older than Lienert, which is why you wouldn't keep Lynch.

He was a late starter, and struggled to get games in a good team (as much as it hurts to admit that about Port). From his profile on the Port website:

2019 and 2020 proved frustrating for the 195cm backman who could only manage seven and five games in those seasons as pressure for spots in Port’s backline increased.

I don't see age as a reason not to take him. There may well be other reasons not to take him. We rolled the dice on 3 other rejects two years ago and got lucky with Keays, while Crocker was a bust and Frampton could go either way. Why not do it again on a 1 year deal?

Was referring to next year didn't make that clear, either way has wasted his time staying at Port this long.
He was 23 when he was first drafted (2017 RD), and has only been on their list for 4 years. It's not as if he's spent 10 years trying to break into Port's senior team.

He was out of contract end of last year, was not being consistently played when the continual talk about him was that he would walk into many other AFL teams. Should have moved to another club then, now he has no AFL contract.

Is this guarantee the same guarantee that we'd keep Kelly, re-sign Mackay, extend Talia, miss out on Dawson to Port, keep Haas ...

To your point - you can't play 22 kids in the reserves, unless you want their development to go nowhere.

We need to identify the kids we're ACTUALLY developing and give them the right reserves environment to learn, which ISN'T just only playing with other 18 year olds.

They need some mature heads in the two's, otherwise their development will stagnate. They don't need a half dozen guys, but they need three or so

kelly aNd Mackay both turned down extensions. Why you keep mentioning them in that context is surprising. You should know better.

1st lodgement, so there's still time? Interesting if we don't though, you'd think we would be more inclined to splitting 4 then.

It would seem so, our third and fourth picks are likely to advance significantly from 75 and 80 as well though. Might be that there's a couple of players late in the draft we have our eye on and don't want to have to wait until the rookie draft.

Someone on Twitter spy’d Jordan Dawson signing something for a kid with the #12. Looks like he’s taken Tals old number.

Yeah, our 3rd pick (if we make no live trades) should be in the early 60's, taking into account FS/academy bids, so we'll probably wait and see if there's anyone we like that lasts until then. If not, we'll upgrade a rookie or two in the period after the draft and before the PSD/rookie drafts (pretty sure we can do that this year)

If there's only going to be 55 or so selections, our pick 3 should be earlier than the 60s ...
