Wednesday - Flashdance (at HQ)
Thursday - Marble Bar (preferred) or Duke (my mates DJ there on Thursdays)
Friday - Red Square
Saturday - HQ
Sunday - The Grand

Follow that itinery and you'll have a blast :)

Monday also has something rocking but I can't remember off the top of my head. Tuesday is a dead night.

Shotz (Pirie st - cheap drinks, young crowd (18-21), bit of a dive bar but heaps of fun if that's your scene

I live at Glenelg. The Glenelg Backpackers hostel is ridiculously inconsistent. Some weekends it is going OFF with amazingly beautiful girls from all over the world. Other weekends, it is completely dead. Worth a check out because when it's on, it's on!

I stayed at the motel next door to Graham Cornes' caryard back in 07 for the North v Port prelim final!! what area is that? Went out on the sat after we lost and ended up at some joint which was pretty much near the main performing / concert hall near the water!! was very big and was a full on nightclub??
Is there a joint by the name of Heaven in SA?

In the CBD you're pushing it to find one with a great beer garden.

If you venture into the Eastern suburbs (considering it's Adelaide the Eastern Suburbs are closer than most of the CBD of Melbourne) there are pubs with great Beer gardens close to the city such as the Alma (owned by Mark Ricciuto and Simon Goodwin), the Bath and the Maylands.

try the Seacliff pub on the esplanade...i live right near it it goes off, plenty of talent

but if you want to stick to the cbd...i dunno they're all the same. crown and anchor is ok, the austral or whatever on rundle street, if you can refrain from bashing hipsters

Duke of York has a half-decent beer garden. It's on Currie Street in the CBD.

Adelaide isn't shit... it's quiet, clean, safe, beautiful, affordable real estate. great to bring up a family in and settle down.

But it has a shit nightlife. If partying is what you are into.

If you think Adelaide is a happening place u are seriosuly kidding yourself, haven't experienced decent nightlife or haven't travelled.
