Just thought I'd see if anyone is going today?
If so who are you going for?

My main highlights are System, Slipknot, Mastadon, and the Devin Townsend Project. Few other side bands I will go check out. May get some nostalgia value from Limp Bizkit but Mastodon are playing exactly the same time as them

The other scheduling issue I have is Devin is playing the same time as System and I can't work out who to see.

Went yesterday, was awesome! I saw pretty much the opposite bands as you haha, ADTR, The Cab, The Summer Set, AVA were the bands I especially went to see, but ended up accidentally hearing My Way and Rollin', the 2 songs of Limp Bizkit that I used to love back in year 7 haha! Quality blast from the past, cannot believe that they still are touring haha

Enjoyed Hatebreed and Machine Head (was in the second row for both of them). The mosh pits were insane.

Other than that I was reasonably disappointed; not with the bands but from the dodgy, money-grabbing promoter. AAMI Stadium is magnificently run in comparison to the half-assed effort they put up for Soundwave.

Last year's SW shat all over this year.

How do you mean? It was the first Soundwave I've been too, so I had nothing to compare it to.

Also. One of the best things I noticed about yesterday was compared to Futures etc, was the lack of roided pinging runningshort wearing ********s looking for fights. Everyone that was there yesterday was there to enjoy the music, whereas at other festivals the people that go mainly go for the 'event' rather than the bands.

Had a great day yesterday. Was like a late 90s Big Day Out.

Expected Limp Bizkit to be crap but they weren't, thought Manson would be good and they were crap. The rent a band with an out of it/disinterested Manson was a major disappointment as the setlist was good, mostly old stuff.

Was in the ring on stage 2 for Bush (lame but a Mrs Geoffa fav), Bad Religion (Nostalgia bliss), Bizkit and Manson. Leaving a couple of songs into Slipknot.

Slipknot were ok, not a huge fan, so went and saw Black Label Society who were great. One of the longest Guitar Solos I have seen live.

SOAD were great, as expected. Third time seeing them live and they never disappoint.



Oh, and Steel Panther............
