[BAnd for the record I think Voss will play. When Matthews ruled him out he had that cheeky look on his face which tels me that Voss is a likely starter.

I agree, the minute I heard that Voss had been dropped I thought, no way, Matthews is playing a psychological game (probably not the only one, but this is one of them).

I really hope Ayres doesn't fall for it :p

Same here. He is a smart cookie Matthews and I especially thought it was a porky when Michael Voss said he will play.

AFC don't get sucked into it. Plan that Voss will play and get 30 touches

How does it go - Beware of the wounded tiger or is it Lion. The Lions have the game to turn it on. Weather forecast is a warm 25 with a chance of rain. May make for a close game.

Don't appologise mate, you are more than welcome to express you opininon. ;)

I presonally think that Lynch would tear Perrie a new one is that was the match up. If Lynch averages some 5 goals on Bassett, I reckon u can double that on Perrie:(

Just my opinion;)

I don't reckon Voss wil play Stiffy.

They really needed him in the last quarter against the Pies and he wasn't fit enough to come on, even under duress.

You don't play unfit players in elimination finals.

You might be right but I am not prepared to take chances. Its finals and everybody is playing mind games. I will believe that when I see someone else run onto the ground instead of Voss and Friday night.

Its finals time you have to be very careful when your opposition team gives you a chance to get slightly excited;)

You sound like Chocko insisting that Buckley would play last year. ;)

Geeez, he would solve our ruck deficiency Stiffy.

So there is no chance of him taking an interest in playing AFL?

You know me to well Dave! :D

Stiffy, you should have made him an offer he can't refuse - eg. replacement of DT in the orgy of the century. We have plenty of female talent on this board, which I'm sure will satisfy his every need. ;)

I am wondering what their mental state is.

Having won two flags it would be easy to slacken off and say we ahve done enough (on a sub-concious level)

Being number one for such a long period is hard to sustain, but of course they are capable

Should be a very good game.

Have to agree with this Jars. I have thought most of their comments and attitudes since the Collingwood match have been quite negative. Even the negative attitude to Voss coming up is "un-brisbane".

My gut feeling is they are as vulnerable as they come both physically and mentally. This will be tough, but all the doors are open to us if we are good enough.

Go Crows!

It's a very good point, Jars. I said a while ago when we had a few losses that the only way to turn it around was if the boys actually believed they could do it. It's a BIG problem with our team that they seem to just mentally drop off sometimes, and it's REALLY hard to say what's going to happen this week. After our loss to Collingwood, a match that we somehow managed to lead for 3 and a bit quarters.......and with all the injuries, it'd be easy for them to say 'well, we've done enough in the last couple of years and had a good year this year' and leave it at that.

But I'm sure on Sunday, watching Port lose the way they did, MIGHT have sparked the Lions up again, realising that if they give it their absolute best, that they could make the Prelim and even our third Grand Final in a row.

I guess this week with Voss being ruled out and Notting being suspended could bring them down a bit more.......see, it is just TOO hard to say.

I'm not one who subscribes to the 'no Voss no Brisbane' theory, I think Voss adds a hell of a lot to the side just by being on the field, but we have a hell of a lot of talent there and it's unfair on them to make such comparisons.

The Crows are certainly a big chance to beat us, no matter how fired up our players are I'm sure the Crows will equal that. Should be a great match!!!!!

:D

It is going to be an absolute cracker !!!!

Crows by 13-24.

And, can I just say to those who were discussing Clarke and Biglands earlier in the thread, why would you want Rhett playing on Lynch?? Clarke and Biglands are #1 and #3 for hitouts in the competition. Let them play their game. No-one seems to want Ben Hart to play on anyone good on Friday night, is he injured or something? I think he deserves a crack, he played a great game against WC.

Welcome SAFootyNut!

The problem with Lynch is that he ALWAYS cuts us up and I think everyone is looking for some way to stop this happening once again.

Rhett went back on Neitz in the semi last year and did a great job (remember Robert Walls' comments, "This is a very bad move my Gary Ayres. What is Gary Ayres thinking? Repeat ad naseum"), maybe he can do it again.

Thanks for the welcome Napsyd

I do see your point, however I was thinking maybe that plan would be best served once Lynch does start to cut us up down that end. He may have a shocker (you never know)

Hart on Lynch for mine, if that doesn't work then I don't know what will.

GO CROWS

I don't think Hart has the body strength for Lynch.

Smart on Lynch for mine (he's cut Bassett up one too many times...)

Hart can go on someone like McRae.
