when mcleod retires, I think the crows will be in big trouble. how come they dont have a decent sized chb, basset is so small?

Usually Bock or Stevens would be there but they are needed up forward. You see ideally we have McGregor and Hentshel which makes our bigs more flexible, i hardly see how this question is related to the thread and how Andrew Mcleod is related to CHB:confused:

We have two.

Ken McGregor (perennially injured for a good while now, played SANFL this week) and Nathan Bock (forced to play as a key forward due to Trent Hentschel's knee injury).

Bassett is suffering from the exact same thing as the pre-Rutten days. He's too small to play in a key post and often gets exploited for it.

As a third-up defender he is All-Australian class.

When McLeod retires footy is in big trouble. The way he's playing at the moment he could go another 2 or 3 seasons so I'm not sure what your point is?

Bassett isn't our CHB. A number of guys have played there this year.

My one question about scheduling is why on Earth didn't the Crows either not play in Perth last weekend, or at least play on Friday or Saturday if they were playing a team who played on Wednesday?

I don't think the AFL are in collusion, merely incompetent.

Be fair! The poor pies still have to endure another 16 games at the G this year! Poor buggers. Surely the AFL will soon start scheduling the non-vic teams to play 18-20 games at their home ground each season. You know.......just to keep things fair....

Buddy, I cannot argue with you on that one:o .

You can't be serious!!!!! We were dead on our feet, while your blokes just ran rings around us.
Pies are also a young team Jenny, a young team. Sure extra 4 days may have made a difference ,but also remember the affect that those 2 games had on Essendon/Collingwood, it would have taken an extra 2 days to recover from combined affects of 2 games in 4 days, at least. Not complaining as Pies/Bombers asked for that game, but still not a huge advantage. Look who was running in the last, Leon Davis who spent tonnes of time fwd/on the bench early, Toovey (benched a bit 1st half) fired up ,as did Heath Shaw after a quiet 1st half where he didn't run as much as normal, also Fraser who Bryan rucked for a lot in the 1st half. Pies had good rotation of players, didn't follow Adelaides rotation closely, but who did they rest?
