Interesting that in a turbulent year of results the two teams who play with really clear game plans are playing off. Very different game plans but ones that maximise their strengths.

Richmond's main strength is their pressure breaking down sides then running off them to score. Any side that withstands that beats them as the Tigers will struggle to score. Adelaide is a few steps above the opposition the Tigers have faced so far and will stand up. Adelaide have been outstanding this finals series.

The likelihood of no Cotchin won't help either.
Cotchin will play. Tigers are good enough to win, game is at G not Adelaide Oval.
Won't be easy for the Crows(interstate team) next week. The Dockers,Eagles,Swans lost their Grand Finals to the Hawks,
because the final was at the G, so the Tigers will playing on their home deck!

How the hell is this a load of shit?
It's completely unnecessary. Have the Tigers wear white shorts. Problem solved and they don't have to wear that hideous getup in their first grand final in 35 years.

Emotion has no place in decision making.

Richmond need to finish higher if they want to get the benefits.

There is simply no other fair way to do it and had the AFL tried to do something different it would have looked incredibly suspicious.

It's nothing to do with benefits, any perceived benefits are so insignificant they shouldn't be a factor in coming to the decision. It's about aethestics and it's an arbitrary decision at that.

Swans beat the Hawks before that. Hawthorn were absolute guns, Tigers aren't and Adelaide is a big step up. Adelaide beat them by 76pts in their only clash.

Cotchin can't play, arm was tucked in for the bump, MRP have nowhere to go with the rules, just like Dangerfield.

For what it's worth : crows will smash Richmond
First "Richmond will finish bottom 4"
then "Richmond will finish 9th"
then "Richmond will lose an elim"
then "Richmond will go out in straight sets"
then "Richmond will lose the prelim"
now "Richmond will get smashes in the granny"

next? "Richmond wont will do a Dogs and wont make the 8 after winning the flag"

Adelaide at the G this year.
Beat Hawks by 4 goals at the start of the year when Hawks were awful.
Beat Carlton by 2 goals.
Drew with Collingwood after being down by 50 points.

Richmond hasn't lost a return game v any team this year.
Richmonds only loses at the G are a goal after the siren v Freo, 9 point loss v Swans after being 5 goals up.

Adelaide will be favorites but you would be dumb to think we're no chance.

Who gives a f**k if it's their first grand final in 35 years or 5 years. Fact of the matter is the Crows finished on top of the ladder and deserve the right to wear their home jumper.
