I think that answers my question.

Was that the game where Cummings kicked a motza?

Nope, that was the 116(?) point loss the West Coast that Ayres seemed to link every loss back to for the next ten months.

Just a question

If Stenglein is this great player, and one of the competitions best taggers - FFS who was he actually tagging tonight???

Black - 15 disposals 1st qtr
Aka - best on ground

Who

He was rotated. He played 1st quarter on Voss then throughout the game he also spent some time on Black, Lappin, Aker and Power but he did play 1st quarter on Voss.

I would have sworn he lined up on black at each centre bounce.

Irrespective he didn't stop anyone - when will someone realise he is a HBF player.!

We've got plenty of those.
Yeah Dave but I think his height and great making ability would be a great asset on HB.

Yeah. What about that mark he took with some guy practically on top of him. He would have to be one of the best marks in the team, in contested marks anyway.
Skip was pretty good too...

In this day and age there are very few one position players.
Yes he will learn as much in the FP as CHF!
No he should learn to play different positions early in his career, even CHB.
The name of the game is flexibility in the team.

I do not agree for one minute that our team regeneration is a 3-5 year project.
Our core of good players are still there, unlike Carlton.
We will get some good draft picks, fast track the juniors, and I sincerely believe that in 2 years we'll be back.
This club WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING DIFFERENT.

PS gotta remember we have a fair talent bank om the sidelines presently, that changes the total team dynamics.

Excluding Nigel Smart and Wayne Carey, who retired recently, nine players were unavailable for selection - James Begley (ankle), Matthew Bode (ankle), Brett Burton (hamstring), Michael Doughty (eye socket fracture), Ben Hart (hamstring), Trent Hentschel (ankle), Jacob Schuback (shoulder), Mark Stevens (groin) and Jason Torney (back).

Very brief responses to this, sorry.

1. You have a point about flexibility, but in that case he should be played in other positions than FP also. CHF being one of them.

2. I strongly believe we are 3 - 5 years minimum away from contending for a flag. This is what I mean about regeneration, not making up the numbers in the eight. We could possibly bolster our list in the right places and with a better injury run next year, make the eight. Fat lot of good that would do us too.

Erm, I'll think you'll find he's referring to the 'injured/disabled' kind, not the Daryl Somers/Pauly Shore kind.

Nope, he was referring to the Daryl Somers/Pauly Shore kind.

But he has been playing both CHF, FF and FP. Against Brisbane he started at FF and finished at CHF.

He is being played in those 3 positions throughout the game.

I believe that Adelaide Football Club set themselves a goal in the Adelaide vs Brisbane game.

A Goal ...a Quarter :p

Agreed, and as things go a good compromise position IMO.
