Gags deserves a shot at Milne.
Agree with all those match-ups, now we just need to sort out their mid-field which by the way absolutely destroyed ours in the wok cup.

If ever we need some grunt in the middle it's this week but where do we get it ?? Bode if in the right frame of mind might be able to support the Roo but i can't think of anyone else.

unless we can con Bicks to come out of retirement.

Hentschel would get slaughtered by Reiwoldt. Besides he hasn't got the aerobic capacity to go with Nick.

Smart maybe but McGregor is the best match up for St. Nick

IMO, Kenny is best suited to CHB on Riewoldt. Would start Smart at FB on Gehrig, with the Hound on the bench. Play T-Potential as the 3rd tall defender to take the likes of Kosie if he pushes forward.

I don't think we really have a player that is a good match up for Gherig. The way we could stop him is if we have someone come across in front of him to cut off his supply. I think hentschel could do this role if Saints don't play 3 talls in their forward line.

Supply from the midfielders will be critical. We need to have some type of plan for combating Harvey, Hayes, Ball, Powell & Co.

It will be interesting to see how Reilly and Dal Santo perform.

Wonder how Mr Fantasia feels?

Still, I'm happy with Reilly and think he will become a gun.

No question but that will be easier said than done. Saints have a fantastic midfield and we must tagg one of their prime movers heavily. Whether its Harvey or Hayes we must really negate them. I think we should play Reilly on either Ball or Dal Santo.

Should be a good match. Hopefully this time we come away with a win.

Reilly will be a very good player for us but I reckon if AFC had their time over again they would pick Nick Dal Santo. Same can be said for Angwin and Kane Cornes.

I can't believe that Ayres and Curran went against the club and got Angwin instead of Kane Cornes.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

You said the same about Hall and Kruger.

I am glad the club went for Jericho.;)

So are you saying maybe we should double team Gherig???? It could work but leaves other options open, this is my real worry is Gherig very strong got a bit of pace and virtually unstoppable on the lead, Biglands in one respect has let the side down this w/e he would have been our best matchup for Gherig, I know Bassett is not the answer and if Ayres put Bassett anywhere near Gherig I will scream blue murder, cause we are up ****e creek if he does, Ayres it's time to think not make stupid options, play players where they should be played, the supporters are screaming this to you, stop being a stubborn mule and bring the AFC some success.

If you think Biglands would have been a better option on Gehrig than Bassett then you have more rocks in your head than Ayres

Gherig wold take biglands to the cleaners.

For me it has to be McGregor Hentschell or even a Massie or Begley could do the job.

Not sure about Massie or Begley, but certainly they would be better than Biglands! Massie would be agood matchup for Hammill, if he plays, as would combat his agression. Would like to see Kenny return to CHB rather than FB. Smart or Bassett are probably the best options at FB on Gehrig.

You cant be serious,McGregor was as weak as **** on the w/e up forward and could out muscle his opponent at all Ghrieg would just smash that weakling,Hentshell,Massie and Begley could out pace Ghreig but still in a one on one contest they wouldnt be capable, Biglands is tall and has good upper body strength he would IMO have been ideal against Ghreig, Smart would be an option, what about Torney???????

I think Adelaide can win this game. I still do not rate St Kilda as a great team. They are a decent team but they beat Geelong in round one that look to be at best average, bowled over a depleted Essendon lineup and beat a lackluster Richmond.

Are St Kilda as good as people believe them to be? I think they are a good team but not one of the top four teams. If Adelaidee go in hard and play four quarters they might catch St Kilda off guard as they really haven't played a side yet that has the ability to put together four good quarters. Essendon could have if they had the players but they were 4-5 players short that game.

Shorter break for the Saints, some question marks over Hamill and Brown if they get through the tribunal, it might be enough to unsettle the team.

Gehrig is playing well and is the key to beating the Saints, he is the best average player running around. He is playing like a million dollars at the moment but doubt he can keep this level up, he is being flattered because teams are spending more effort on covering the likes of Reiwoldt.

My only concern is that Adelaide is playing like a team without any confidence. No confidence in their own ability and confidence in the support from team mates around them. As soon as they can come to terms with that then they will be a much improved team.

Good luck sat nite guys ;)

Great news for us but bad luck for the crows.
just leaves you with one less decent back to man up on our tall forwards..

Would not be suprised if kosi plays down forward this week with hart out.

having said that with blake out for us maybe kosi will have to play ruck :(

Should be a great game none the less a real big test for my boys to win one on the road.

In: Jericho, Torney, Bode
Out: Stevens, Biglands, Goodwin

Then a bit of a reshuffle including McGregor back and Bassett forward
