Ok,

everyone has tipped against us, but i think we have solved our forward Line problems and Adam Richardson may be the player to kick 60-70 golas this year.

We will bring a youthful side to NZ, and full of confidence

- reports our fitness levels are up
- and ayresy style is tarting to get through to the players, acoording to reports of the trials so far

GO CROWS!

Adelaide supporters, match will be live from 5 00 pm on 5AA and 5AA simulcast will be on http://www.afc.com.au

Actually, to be strictly correct, Ayres acted exactly in accord with his contract with Geelong. The contract had a stipulation in it that either party, if not happy to continue into the last year of the contract, could terminate the contract. That is exactly what Ayres did. No forgetting involved at all.

This is why Geelong were unable to do anything about it nor receive any compensation, though they did try.

I've heard a few good things about him QT that he's been the leading goalkicker in the SANFL over the past few years. Do you think he'll get to the heights of Modra or more of a Scott Hodges type player?

Danni, this your mantra for the following week:

"It's only the first round of the Ansett Cup...It's only the first round of the Ansett Cup...It's only the first round of the Ansett Cup...It's only the first round of the Ansett Cup..."

LOL Ripper - you know what I was like after the intra club last weekend - this is nothing on that!!!

And now we have won now by 41 pts - I am happy - I don't care if it is ansett cup or not - it is our first win for the year (bar last week when we couldn't lose seeing as they played intra club)!!

Football is Back! That is all that counts after so long without any live footy!

QT,

I was one who thought Crows would do OK in this game, but from the result it would appear that we were well out of it. Although when I look at some of the stats on the AFL web page, Crows ahd nearly as much possession as Brisbane, in terms of marks, kicks and entries into the forward 50. But Crows ended up over 40 pts shy on the scoreboard.

Its just as well its only February, since it would appear the Crows still have a lot of work to do to be competitive with the good teams like Brisbane.

Still, there is time yet. But they had better pull the proverbial finger out.

I'm not sure if the problem was the forward line per se, or the delivery into the forward line. Crows apparently got well beaten in ruck as well.

Brisbane - well played. Quite a few players not on the field, but still just to slick for Crows. Shows us where we have to be.

Nice try QT. Richardson had zero - read it - zero - effective possessions. Real problem solver. Theres only improvement from there!

Denno the one that got me was Gallagher ko'd when he collided with Voss's LEG after he (Gallagher) was only on the ground for less than 30secs!

Richardson is a load of crap!

He won't make it to the end of the season, just another dud to add to the Crows list. I just laughed when you guys picked him up.

Danni - you may be able to answer this, how did Pikey do?

Malibu - pretty good from what I understand....they went back to the sort of defense that they had in 99, but with Pike and Michael in, instead of Heuskes and Kennedy. And the setup worked well.

Bit of extra pressure will be on Pike in the next couple of weeks after Leppa pulled a hammy yesterday. Will be intersting to see how he goes.
