0-11 is so depressing but i still have faith in Nicks that he can reinstall respect at the club. Feel sorry for the guy, was handed a mess of a list by Pyke and co and the reality is we have a massive talent gap. The youth we have are struggling and the ones that are performing arent enough to make a huge difference right now.

I think with smart drafting over a 2-3 year period things can turn around very quickly. Key word smart, something i am not confident our list management and recruiting staff are. Time will tell

the crows have nothing left as a franchise. nobody there cares about them. none of their past players care about them. even their two time winning flag coach is bewildered by them as an entity and has nothing nice to say. they are spent in every way. there is no way back. I don't even care about bigfooty banter with their fans anymore, it's pointless. they can go back to their original state clubs and die with their true colours. I want that for them. Poor fu**s.

I work with a bloke who has been a season ticket holder with them since day 1. He finally walked away this year and one of the main reasons was because there is no social base for the franchise and that it does not feel like a proper footy club. I have other friends who have also drifted away from the Crows and back to primarily supporting their SANFL clubs for similar reasons. The biggest issue I see for the Composite XVIII is what is their raison d'être? The "team for all South Australians" guff means nothing these days and completely limits their nationwide appeal. They are a disparate group brought together mainly through their common dislike of another club. Surely a club has to be about more than that? The fact that it's been years since they got rid of the Crows Shed and have done sweet FA to create clubrooms and a social base for their customers, sorry, members, to try and give off the impression that they are a club and have real roots speaks volumes. The next 3-5 years are going to be a huge test for the Crows, what is going to make their supporters stick fat? Their fan base that is 40+ (the majority of their fan base) has the option of going back to watch SANFL Football. Will those under 40 want to put their hard earned into watching a team that is struggling and not the place to be seen any more? As long as the Crows continue to be run as a boys club that benefits the privileged few I see these problems getting bigger and bigger for them.

the "reason to exist" conversation regarding for Adelaide is a genuinely fascinating subject. like, it feels like the only human beings on planet earth who genuinely care about the AFC are Mark Ruicutto and Steven Rowe, maybe Mark Bickley but he doesn't seem to actually love the club. Nigel Smart maybe? probably Tex Walker too? but what is he going to offer long term, you gonna put Taylor Walker on the board?

I kind of think the Crows fans are just taking this in their stride and not jumping up and down enough. A few pages ago people are going on about "no one in the media criticises them" but I dont really see the fans in the game or public criticising them either. Most Crows fans ive seen just seem to be in the "I cant wait til the draft" phase of the decline.

I think they should be pretty much protesting during the game such is the shambles. Have signs with Riicciuto OUT. Do something, because at the moment I dont really see or feel the Adelaide Crows fans are doing enough to demand change.

I don't know, membership numbers can be misleading with 3 game memberships. I can just tell you I know quite a few long standing supporters have walked away. And there is a big call for change at board level.
