Players from the 2017 debacle that I’d try and keep: Smith, Brown, one of the Crouches, Sloane.
I honestly don’t see any point in keeping other players around. I’m not saying players like Laird aren’t good, but really, what you’re going to get in a trade would be much more valuable.
Sloane has no trade value, Laird does. It is that simple. No one will take on Sloane's contract. We have to keep Sloane for that reason, despite how much of an anchor he may be around our necks.I'd keep Laird ahead of Sloane, he's done and at $800k, he's an anchor around our necks.

And Carlton. Put it down as a winRun home of:
Geelong
Hawthorn at home
GWS at home
Carlton
Richmond
Hawthorn, maybe?
But looking pretty grim for them tbh.

I don't disagree with anything you are saying, but no club is going to pay $400K for him, that is the problem. Same goes for Walker. Especially considering that due to the Covid crisis the salary cap could be significantly reduced. He's $600k wasted now, maybe someone takes him and pays him $400k, then we pay $400k, saving $200k. What's worse than the salary will be watching him hobbling around and being selected for every game over the next 3 years that the selfish prick puts his hand up for.
Just got a feeling. It's so CarltonTo Carlton obviously.
Well we still have to play the Tiges, it used to be a very Richmond thing to do.Just got a feeling. It's so Carlton

I’d be trading laird in a heartbeat -I'd keep Laird ahead of Sloane, he's done and at $800k, he's an anchor around our necks.
It has probably got to the stage that it is too late do that with Sloane. If we have learnt anything, which I doubt we have, it is too to move a player on too early than too late. Thus why it makes more sense to trade Laird on.I'm hoping a contending club might do what Saints did with Hannerbury and back themselves in go get him back near his best for 2-3 years.

While he has some good value!
Unbelievably overrated player. Too short with poor disposal and no creative nause . Will not be the Crows answer in the midfield. Likes to get the easy stats. Easily cut out of a game when targeted. Top of the list to trade out.
The magical medical team at the Hawks? Could they get Sloane up and going again so they'll be contenders in 2021?I'm hoping a contending club might do what Saints did with Hannerbury and back themselves in go get him back near his best for 2-3 years.

Probably a couple of years off contending, but what about Sydney?Ordinarily, but I don't see them in the market for a 29yo. Saints would have been ideal, but Hannebery has ruined that. Gotta be someone who's not far off that'll take a punt.
Reid is as much part of the family as Ricciuto is at the Crows. So the answer to that question is no. They will back each other in as they always do.No club will have a bar of Sloane and his ridiculous long term contract.
He along with Walker and Gibbs, and their generous contracts will all be at Adelaide next season.
Will Ricciuto hang young Reid out to dry ?

I remember Fremantle that year. Jesus. Who did they beat? Melbourne!?!There have been a few candidates for not winning a single game in a season, most notable Freo in 2001 who waited until (funnily enough) round 18 that year, so they did make it to 17 losses first.
These sides always seem to bob up with a few, but in a shortened season it’s a real risk these guys won’t.

Carrying him to his 200th, which he absolutely deserves, but what his body is physically capable of just isn’t at AFL standard anymore and I hope that his 200th is also a farewell game. Even his field kicking has completely deserted him. I would be keeping him on the list next year only if he agrees to being a non playing assistant coach.how is tex walker still in the side?
