Im not a gambling man. If Thompson didnt go down then Adelaide having the lowest scoring team was a dead set certainty rather then a gamble. Top 2 yes but if Fevola got injured then Carlton would be a certainty for top 2 lowest scorers too.

Quite simply if I knew each team would go out with there best 22 each week id take that bet cos I know its a certain thing. Otherwise ill leave the gambling to the Adelaide Crows players
So if you knew each team would go in with its best 22 then the Crows would have Roo and Hentschell. And this forward line finished 2nd highest points for last year. So F-U you have again proven yourself a moron.

And Dandy Go has you backpedalling at a hundred miles an hour, take the bet or dont you have the balls. Or cant you find them? Ask the nurse to help you.

You got lucky, very lucky.

But I'm willing to bet that about 40-50% of those goals came from your midfield.
We got lucky? So we got lucky for 22 rounds?

I'll tell you who's lucky - Sydney. If you played us in the finals you wouldn't have got anywhere near the Grannie :)

Last year, Adelaide scored a grand total of 361 goals. Our full time forwards (players who spent the vast majority of their gametime as forwards in 2006) Bock, Perrie, Hentschel, Ricciuto, Burton, McGregor, Bode, Vince, contributed 201 goals (58%), and full time defenders, Stevens, Bassett, Hart, Torney, Rutten contributed a total of 12 (3%). Therefore, out forwards and defenders combined for 61% of our goals, making it impossible for our midfielders to have scored any more than 39% of our goals.
This is without even including the contributions of McLeod (8 goals), Mattner (5 goals) and Johncock (8 goals), who spent the vast majority of the year playing in back pockets or the half-back flanks, as, due to their rebounding nature they may be considered midfielders under a broad definition, or Rhett Biglands (20 goals) who spent a lot of time at full forward.

Therefore, our midfield did NOT score 40-50% of our goals last year.

I admit that you own us during the regular season, but when it comes to finals you are everyones bitch. It's that simple.

Of course, it is unfortunate that they didnt destroy more opponents, considering in most games they werent the most accurate team, as were mine. Man some games were horrible to watch

I think they have a decent forward line considering:
- They have 3 swapping CHF'S in Bock, McGregor and Perrie who are all very versatile...
- Welsh was in hot form in 05 before getting injured
- Bode will be a consistenet 2 goal game player
- Burton can probably do the freakiest things out of anyone in the league (will finish up with roughly 35-40 goals and roate through midfield)
- Edrwards is great i think, tough has pace and has good footy brain (link player)
- Ricciuto may be playing FF if not injured he looked in good knick last year...

They don't have any real permanent goalkickers but they do have alot of players that chip in like Bode, Burton and Riccituo.... Also with a running defence they will get the ball down quickly.... Will probably just miss out or just make the 8 in my predictions...

I was rather generous in my calculations. If you include the 4 others players I left out, you would have been around 12% off.

Also, I'd like to point out that Adelaide had more players score over 40 goals than any other team last season, and more players average 2 or more goals a game than any other team. We have plenty of effective forward options, which is the strength of our forward line. We simply lack one recognised 60+ goal a season power forward although Ricciuto was just about on target for this until his injuries, and led the competition goalkicking early in the season.

I believe West Coast were the only team to actually have more scoring shots than us in a game last year (which they achieved all 3 times we met) - every other side we lost to (or beat), we ended up with an equal or greater number of scoring shots. If we had been at least as accurate as our opponents last year in every game, we would have lost only to your mob. It's a real pity our two teams had to meet in the prelim again, and not the grand final. It could have been one of the most inaccurate grand finals in history!

I think you guys can also play Jericho if needed on hff as he looked the goods before getting injured a while back????
He's got brilliant skills and his athleticism is amongst the best in the league.
Unfortunately, he'd be in the running for the softest player in the league.
If he had a little courage he'd be a brilliant HFF, but he's quickly running out of chances. If he can't string together a few solid games this year then he'll be delisted.

Haha Jericho has 'brilliant' skills??? Going wayyyyyyyy over the top there young man.
He fumbles it under pressure, but his uncontested possesions are usually pretty good for a younger player (and have been since we drafted him), and he's capable of some very flashy stuff. He has a good, long, accurate kick on him.
Unfortunately, he's so incredibly soft that every game at AFL level is a pressure situation for him and he ends up looking like a goose.
Regardless, he does have good skills - that's not where his problems are.
