May aswell get the ball rolling...

NAME:
Chapman

POSITION:
Forward for most of the game, but did move up the ground.

COMMENTS:
Ran hard often but only found the ball about 10 times. Started forward at the bounces but pushed forward more into the middle during play, or around 60m out. Only had one tackle which is unusual for the hard nut at the ball.
Overall, i thought he was quiet compared to his performance in last weeks intra-club match.

Seeings as no-one else claimed Lonners, i am happy to adopt him aswell, but then i have the cats players, so if i am happy to give him away to another poster if they want another player, so please let me know. I will rate him this week, and if no-one else claims him or asks me for him i can adopt him for the whole year..

NAME:
Lonergon

POSITION:
Tall forward

COMMENTS:

Showed signs attimes, but also had limited time on the ground. Most probably my favourite part of the night (apart from Kent) was Lonners turning whitnall inside out to run in and kick a goal. :D Only had 8 touches, 2 marks and 2 goals.
Give him another year to develop and i think he can out-do Playfair in most areas from what i saw tonight. he wasnt given an extensive role, or important for that matter as we were playing carlton, but still impressed by the young boy.

I couldn't attend the match because my kitchen flooded and it did during the match as well so have only seen the replay. Here goes anyway.

Looked pacy (what's new) and got the ball well and often. Not sure he used it well enough.

Varcoe: DNP. Bomber dispelled a rumour this morning on Fox Footy that he would be out for the season. Said he is recovering perfectly from his foot injury.

Charlie Gardiner: Well, it was a good start for Charlie, and much more than many expected. Took 8 marks, and dropped a few so it could have easily been 12 or 13, Nick Riewhat?:p Lead well all game and certainly beat Whitnall, although some papers suggest that Whitnall was one of the blues best. Wrong. This is a big year for Gardiner and I reckon he will come through with the goods. There is going to be plenty of competition for the last tall forward spot this year, which can only be a good thing for the club. Gardiner has had his 4 or so years at the club, it's now time to stand up.

Hopefully will be back to best against the Roos.

2 good goals. Absolutely no presence for a KPP. Didnt take any marks that forwards are meant to take..

His disposal was absolutely pathetic. 6/10?

NAME:
Brent Primsall

POSITION:
Was on the bench most of the game, had a few runs in the midfield

COMMENTS:
Disposal was nervous and sloppy early but as the game on he did a few nice runs and the disposal was alot neater. Especially the sprint on the left wing then the pass on the left boot which was nice. Hopefully will get a little more game time. Already has better disposal than Koula but doesent get as much of the ball.

Rating:
4/10

The two best on the ground were Kingsley Bartel and Scarlett. They gunned it and showed some nice form. Ling was impressive even though his disposal was poor. Cam was good and so was Egan.

I have not yet watched a reply of the game, and i wasnt able to tell how Lonners was leading throughout the game, but i ten to agree that he didnt present all that well.
And i rated him a 6.5 for a personal score as he did try and kicked 2 good goals, but for a team perspective maybe 3.

I forgot my second choice, Playfair, DNP.

So does anyone else want Lonners as their 2nd player or are you all happy 4 me to keep him as a third?

DOnt think Callan played, and Bartel was ok. Seemed abit off, even for him at this time of year, but then the whole game wasnt played with a whole lot of class.

Comments: Not a bad game. His kicking out was solid all night and hit his targets. Used his strength to his advantage and helped out spoiling Scarlo's man. Carlton's flooding limited his long kicking from half back so we mostly saw him chipping and handballing.

NAME: Paul Koulouriotis

POSITION: Running defender in between bench sitting

COMMENTS: Was caught off his man once or twice but learned from the results. With 13 disposals was best used in getting the ball forward after turnovers - taking part in 4 plays ending in goals. Created some opportunities that weren't utilised.
Kicking a little scrappy but what wasn't marked remained in our possession so nothing to complain about given the general lack of class shown by the side as a whole. Blame the new boots, they're probably not worn in yet.

RATING: The haircut gets a 4/10, it needs to grow a bit.

Possy : Ruck, rover, around the place

Comments : One of the few players who actually had fairly good disposal. Did the usual Cam things (well not the hitting blokes and yelling at umpires) of filling in holes, running forward into space, laying on hard tackles. Good work ethic, glad he is in the leadership group

Rating : 7/10 (compared to the rest of the players)
4/10 (real rating, I am going to be hard on the lad!)

Side Note : Probably deserved about 15 free kicks as I did see a couple of people actually touch him, no I couldnt believe it either, what is the world coming too?
