Seriously how does this bloke have the reputation he does?

How does he seemingly have free reign to as he pleases at Essendon and end up with promotions.

What has he actually achieved?

All this talk about Worsfold and maybe he’s part of the problem but this bloke has been in charge of their list 7 years.

Won zero finals, his drafting leaves a fair bit to be desired in my opinion and year after year they have the same giant flaws.

This man has a lot of people conned including the media. Don’t think I’ve seen them ever criticise his record.

Always banging on about him winning trade periods. How can you win them when they don’t lead to any sort of genuine success?

However the Ruck contest they had McKernan whos not a league standard Footballer and Bellchambers who's just an honest footballer. No Midfielder with absolute grunt either.

He's got some decent players for low/bargin prices however Shields is not going to do s**t when nobody can win him the ball, Saad cant keep Rioli/Jetta/Cripps in check and be expected to push and break lines at the same time.

The philosophy of what they have drafted and identified looks utterly pits.

They even get it as when we play them they put lots of work into Cunners which inevitably serves them very very well.

Their 3 best players were all defenders. Which is fine. However it wasnt Hurley or Hooker, and the midfield didnt give a Yelp

So unless Ambrose/Saad move to the center circle full time they are doomed to get belted by 10 goals in meaningful games

I was cursing at draft time when we passed on Cunnigton. the bloke doesn't understand that you need tough/big mids to win finals and flags but yet he continually drafts skinny kids who get brushed off like nothing.

Cunners is vulnerable to a hard tag, bloke hanging off his back like Clarke and Steele did, and maybe once a season he goes missing, but in their set up, him dishing to the blokes who can burst away like Shiel and Merrett, it'd be lethal.
