Yeah nah. Temperament is proven , potential ain't.

On potential Harley Bennell is worth pick 1.

Nobody paying it but.
I didn't say it was just potential. Just that if you take into account what you deem as temperament then you have to adequately give weight to potential.
And if potential wasn't important then why have a draft system. Just pull names out of a hat?

Oh god.

BigFooty at its finest. Or dullest.

Essendon is among the BEST run clubs in the league. How do I know? Because by every measurable metric it outperforms most other clubs consistently.

Bigfooty; where people can say what they want, factually correct or not.

Sorry Jade but you have just sacked everyone involved at the club and been handed the greatest sanction in the history of the game. Could not name a worse run club in the history of our game.

There's no point Wild Bill. Kia is their sponsor so they must be the best run club....

We broke a rule (though admittedly, rule 1.6 is 'odd' at best).

That doesn't erase the fact that commercially, the 'business' of football, we do extraordinarily well.

It is phenomenally well run in that regard. Among the best, possibly THE best.

Posters here of course are dense at best, and flat out handicapped at worst; unable or unwilling to look at the business that the club undertakes.

I'll take this sort of stuff from Collingwood, Geelong or Hawthorn, but not the club that was apparently on the brink of financial ruin in 2011.

WB is not North Melbourne.

Who he supports is irrelevant when looking at his opinion.

Largest sanction yet still recorded a profit..
Club record membership, record sponsorship, best new facility in the country..
Meanwhile North continue to live off AFL handouts to continue their existence..

Turns it wasn't hey?

Making profits, winning finals, not having to sack coaches left right and centre.

Would rather be broke and in the top 4 than rich and in the bottom 4. Money made you the greatest laughing stock in australian sport. Enjoy.

Unfortunately for you, you get drowned out by the overwhelming majority of unreasonable Essendon who frequent these boards.
Good to hear you are realistic about what Essendon are likely to return for Carlisle. :thumbsu:

Carlisle is worth a first rounder.

Essendon ask for St Kilda's first rounder and all the nuffies go mental.

If the Saints think they can find another one, go for it. That usually isn't as easy as it sounds however.

Complicating this plan would be Essendon's threat to take pick four to the same clubs in a bid to strike a similar pick-slide deal and one-up the Saints

Dodoro is a genius.

4 to Crows for 9&13

9 & Carlisle to Saints

5 to Bombres

One upping the Saints would see a slide from 4 to 5, well worth the one upmanship on display.

Actually, that's not too bad of a deal for us. If GC take Collins as expected and Adelaide take Francis then we still get our boy as well.

Seriously, you can hate on that all you want. That's the best deal I've seen yet for Carlisle.

Could carlilse start talks with another team this late? The dogs pick 10 looks perfect.

Well all Essendon can do is threaten him with PSD and Carlton.

Would take the Dogs pick.

No, money made us the most successful in the club in the sport along with the blues..
Enjoy your home games in Tasmania..

AFL clubs aren't a business. They make money to pour it back into winning games, or failed lawsuits and payouts depending on how poorly run the club is.

Enjoy your premierships from the days of a tin-pot competition, along with the Blues

Yeah, I'm gutted North didn't win the 1897 flag. In that competition that had eight teams, a round robin finals series and where players used place kicks more often than not.

Did you know that premiership is EXACTLY the same as the one you blokes won a few weeks ago?

EXACTLY THE SAME.

Not as much as we enjoy our Friday nights against you.

Can we have three next year?
