Ok, Saints should trade us pick 10-18... oh wait.
Well, if they can get pick 13 that would be fair.
But will the Santo Cilauro comedy creation that is your list manager take it?

Carlise is worth a first round pick in the 10 - 18 area, closer to ten than 18.
He's not worth pick 5.
If he was contracted yeah maybe...Also think Carlisle + 24 is a good deal for pick 5.

Lmao. We've pissed millions away on unnecessary legal fees and we're still more financially stable than St. Kilda. How mad?Keep a close eye on your corporate sponsors and membership numbers as you fall down the ladder for the next few years.
Also think Carlisle + 24 is a good deal for pick 5.
Nah. I think that - and I think this is reflected in the AFL weighting - that picks gain value exponentially the higher you get.
Pick five is pretty much gold standard. Pick 24 isn't worth THAT much.
The idea of the Saints trading 5 for 9 and 13 values 5 about right.
9 would be slightly overs for Carlise IMO but if the Saints paid it because they need him, then it isn't a rip off.
13 would be about right. You have to recall just how crappy Carlisle was at the end of the year and his pretty shitty onfield temperament.
Every Essendon fan would do 13.I would do pick 13.
Also I forgive his temprament.
Being an Essendon player the last few years, the odd outburst isn't a big deal.
Is there something wrong with recognising gender diversity in our community?Yet they've increase each year for the last 3 years..
Stkilda bragging about corporate sponsorship is hilarious..
Enjoy playing in gay pride round..
You could only beat that North team when it was past its best. Couldn't get close to us in 98 when we were flying.
You've been in our shadow for 30 years now.
Every Essendon fan would do 13.
We'll either get 5 and have to give up more than Carlisle OR the Saints will break 5 down and we'll get one of the pieces.
Meanwhile Saints fans will circle jerk over how their club got one over the delusional Dons fans despite all reasonable Essendon fans predicting it.
I love this.. The club run that almost relocated to the Gold Coast had other clubs in its shadow..
Unfortunately for you, you get drowned out by the overwhelming majority of unreasonable Essendon who frequent these boards.Every Essendon fan would do 13.

So is paying $600k for Carlisle

Even 13 for Carlisle I'd argue that there is a lot more reasonable fans at the moment then Saints fans who seem staggered that we want more than 2nd round + Ross.Unfortunately for you, you get drowned out by the overwhelming majority of unreasonable Essendon who frequent these boards.
Good to hear you are realistic about what Essendon are likely to return for Carlisle.![]()
Or, put another way, the club that never went anywhere that has only lost twice if memory serves (maybe three times, once you were cheating on drugs) since 2001 to yours.
Did you know Kevin Sheedy never beat a Dean Laidley coached side?
Definitely makes Laidley a better coach than Sheeds in that case..
North are the smallest, weakest club in the AFL - to say that anyone has been living in their shadow for 30 years is laughable..

Who was the last middle of the road KPD to go for a first found pick? They don't move too often. Hawthorn lost Croad and McPharlin for pick 1 and it is widely accepted that Freo paid massive overs. Paddy Ryder is a better player than Carlisle and was contracted and he went for 17 and 37.
5 for CarlisleEven 13 for Carlisle

See that's the thing, if you say "his temperament brings down his value" then you have to rate potential just as highly. And he has potential.Nah. I think that - and I think this is reflected in the AFL weighting - that picks gain value exponentially the higher you get.

For the record I think 9 or 13 would be about right.
