He's been in the Recruiting Dept since then.
He joined Essendon as a match writer in about 1984.
He used to take notes of what Robert Shaw (Reserves coach) said during a quarter and then Shawy would go over them before addressing the team at breaks.
This was successful so they got him to do it in the seniors as well.
To offer him a full time job at the club they put him in the recruiting dept.
