Adult Content - Forbidden on BigFooty

UPDATE 2/6

There seems to be confusion over the role of advertiser and publisher:

* The publisher provides a place where any advertiser can show ads. The ad networks - there are hundreds - then work up from there.

* We have some control over ads and ad categories. If you see an ad that concerns you please send a screen grab and URL to support@bigfooty.com

UPDATE 2/5

The biggest issue it seems is "sexually gratifying" material.

Acknowledging the existence of sex and sexuality isn't the biggest issue, it's the PHWOOAARR element - that's the best way I can describe it.

We understand that it can be confusing to work out what is and isn't OK. But keep it clean, don't post pictures of bikinis, cleavage, or the like. Don't post pictures of injuries. Real or cartoon.

Just keep it safe for work, as the site rules have always aimed for.

If you can steer clear of these things we are 99% of the way there:

* images of a "sexually gratifying" nature,
* wound, injury, disease and other gory images,
* racist and derogatory posts, violent posts,
* drug talk, and illegal stuff like that.

This one is the new one, and probably what has people confused:
  • sexual health advice related to pregnancy, childbirth, or family planning
We will work out how to block Google ads from the specific threads where this is being discussed in the BF community. There are a few, and our users find them valuable so we will work a way around them.

==============

BigFooty runs on money from advertisers including - mainly from Google.

We have our rules on pictures of people in states of undress: http://bit.ly/Puritanical

Posting those images in your posts or in your avatar will see them removed and your privileges curtailed. Pictures of nudity and sex acts will see your account banned.

We have always had rules against adult content, but this is starting to seep back in to some threads and boards.

Please be warned!

Adult content like the following should not be posted on BigFooty. Not even ironically. You may lose your account.

TLDR, the main stuff we see around the site:

* Nudity, near nudity, strategically covered nudity - including cartoons.
* Discussions about sex lives and performance, sexually transmitted disease and so on.
* Derogatory use of sexual words for people, players etc.
* Racist and hateful posts.
* Injuries and gore.

These are already part of the BigFooty rules, but some members have been posting it anyway.

Chief how does this effect news discussions like Trumps audio tape, PHON at the strippers, pee pee tape, and so on?

According to this list, we can't discuss the details anymore if we are strictly following this list.

You got it.

I'm genuinely not trying to be a smart arse here, but does this mean we can't link news articles covering this too (news.com.au for instance has the video and all quotes listed in its articles today on the NY stripper tape)?

I get keeping the gratuitous stuff off line, but not being able to reference or discuss it full stop will severely limit some of these discussions. For instance we would probably have to pass on the trump tape 100%

So does this also mean now on certain bay comments cant be discussed like last year when there was that big joke around the Richmond fan edit

Look, it’s not forbidden to discuss news and the like. But if you’re trying to elicit a PHWOOOOARRR from people, you’re on shaky ground.
