I received an email from them explaining I might not see my $31.80 again, because I "should have somehow known they are no longer accepting clients from Australia". I was informed they will "see what they can do", but I "shouldn't get my hopes up".

Great business by them.

Still, it's my fault. It's always my fault. I'm not going to bother taking this any further. WTF can I do from 14,000km away?

sorry I counted them and it's about 8-9 bets in total all on the nba. All long term bets and about 7 of them I took in October 2012 and more importantly they WERE going to win.

I feel for you, dude. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I'm not sure how you are going to argue your way out of it (I'm hoping for your sake they allow the bets to stand), but imagine if you had started to hedge against those results? I'd probably use that as some sort of defence to show how wrong it is they have cancelled your selections.

hmm already found 2 clear cut points in their own terms and conditions that support my case. Wonder if they will pull a shifty and change these. Oh well already print screened them and forwarded on to relevant bodies :)

Dear xxxx
We have investigated your query with bwin and made the following findings:

· The pending bets of all Australian users were cancelled.
· All players were informed of the decision and that by returning the stakes, crediting them back to the accounts and allowing its withdrawal, bwin comply with their obligations to the full extent.
· This is also in line with the following clause in the site’s Terms and Conditions:

6.2 We reserve the right to suspend, modify, remove and/or add to any of the Services in Our sole discretion with immediate effect and without notice and We will not be liable for any such action.

Bearing the above in mind we are confident that the operator is acting according to their Terms and Conditions and as such I must inform you that we find your dispute to be invalid.

I feel like taking these pricks to court even thought it would cost me an arm and a leg!

all 6.2 says is that they have the right to withdraw their services from a country/jurisdiction without notice. How does that justify being able to cancel pending bets that were accepted months before an announcement was even made?

any lawyers out there? :S

it's outrageous but given an overseas jurisdiction don't like your chances of anything happening

was that response you posted from SBR? if so pretty clear bwin are a sponsor - no way they'd rule that way in a non-conflicted complaint

Looks like they deleted the thread on SBR as well as that link on the first page is unspecified.

SBR would have to be one of the shonkiest websites out there, putting themselves out there as a people's regulator and dodging anything involving sponsors and affiliates.

I feel nervous enough with Pinnacle, I'd never open an overseas account anywhere else after reading that forum, that's for sure.

oh that's cause i had sbr delete my thread so that ecogra could look into my case part of their conditions was to not post on forums such as sbr :(
