Someone give me some free advice, I got really shit as in 60% for a science test and my average for the year was high 80s. Do I tell my parents? They know i had the test, Do i make a bluff up and delay the process? They always telling me to get off forums and do studying... I have a maths test either tommorow or Wednesday. Do i wait to give them both tests and Pray that my Maths is really good ?. I am puzzled please help. When I got 65% for Mid year for maths, Always choke on Mid year they were really disappointed and made me feel guilty. I choke on big tests and get way to nervous. Any free advice on the matter would be much appreciated?

Thanks for the handy advice. I going to wait unitl I do my maths test and Hope I get really good at it. The folks have organised two footy games to go to, WB vs Essendon free tickets and Nth Melb vs Geelong.

Ms Reliable? Nah, I'd be surprised having met her doesn't strike me as would give much trouble - for starters, I think, she's the only one of the Reliable offspring who barracks for the NMFC so she's in front in the good books for a start.

I've met her as well Gabbie and I agree, however, Mr Reliable speaks with the authoritative tone of experience. You're probably right though. Ms Reliable was wise enough to head down the NMFC path (which does make her brillant enough to pull off such an act!), so Mr R's experience would likely come from the obvious failings of the more wayward members of the brood

We've had our moments, don't worry especially during the joyous early teen years!

However, my 'advice' (FWIW) in response to the OP was based on my own experiences. When you have cost overruns and the bills get out of hand it is better to prepare the client for enormously bad news. When the news is just plain vanilla bad they're often in a funny/peculiar way almost happy (relieved).

It works in reverse too. If you have really good news for someone and you tell them so they are often disappointed/let down when you finally tell them. It's often better to under-promise and then over-deliver.

How often have you told someone that you've heard this absolutely hilarious joke or seen this absolutely brilliant movie? You invariably get a 'Meh!' reaction from your friend once they hear the joke or see the movie.
