As a West Coast fan I would rather the Eagles took a strong, inside midfielder in the first round and worry about a tall player later. We have just lost two of our leading midfielders to retirement (Priddis and Mitchell) and everybody seems to say that the midfield needs help so I think that we should go for a strong inside midfielder first up.

Yep I changed my mind on Brander. I do think West Coast should assess their options if he's available as a successor for JJK or even a long-term defensive option but it's probably unlikely you pick him. Clark or Constable should available at your pick and either would be welcomed I imagine. I matched up the Eagles with a support forward in Oscar Allen at 21 for KPP reassurance.

Not sure Carlton need a Worpel. Great contested ball winner but reckless/sloppy by foot. Another Kerridge. If he is taken, I’d expect at least a year at Northern Blues learning how to make/take the right decisions by foot.

Bolton has made it clear he’s building an elite kicking game plan.

I considered Boyse but I thought perhaps the club might save a list spot and take him as your first rookie, but it's definitely possible the Bombers take three on friday night.

All that does is give 10 clubs the opportunity to pick him up with the new Cat A rookie rules, and 18 more chances to take our next in line (which I believe is James Ferry.

Ideal draft haul for me would be:

85: Alex Boyse

RD 11: James Ferry
RD 29: Tom De Koning
