I view these as Saints & Texans to win by at least 3 here. (no different to the cumbersome looking -2.5 number). Niners to push five points or more as the winning margin. Simple.

It doesn't work that way when taking lines in punting. Whole numbers like -3 and +3 are regarded differently to -2.5 or +2.5.

For instance if New England plays Buffalo and the line is NE -3, if the game ends up NE 27 Bills 24 that is seen as a push or a tie and punters of either line would be refunded. If the line was -2.5 punters on NE would win, Bills punters would lose.

-3 can't automatically be given to the Pats as a win because if the score is NE 27 Bills 24, backers of Bills +3 are also winners.

As the line wasn't effected with Fridays game, l think there needs to be a decision before tomorrow's games whether it be a game that ends up on a whole number such as I've outlined above is treated as a push for both the + and - takers.

Of course Woodson will need to make a decision as CEO of AE.

Was going to ask about this as usually a -3 line with a margin of 3 will result in a push and refund of money. Are we taking a 3 point win on a -3 line as a win?

So, #Woodson - if we send out more than 5 teams this week we don't get double point for MNF, but if we send 4 or less then we do qualify for double point?
Also, there are 2 MNF games. Can we get double points for both of those?

As GG stated... double points ONLY applies to for just having your sole TOPlist teams that particular week for MNF. If you take Sunday games / TNF... double points not applicable for MNF. To answer response... if those 4 teams or less (all playing on MNF) as you stated in your example, as being the only Temptation Teams you send out... yup, Double points GREEN LIGHT.

Not bothered either way GG. If it makes it easier/ more appropriate for all.. I can read old school lines too. Just that my 27+ for Team Score was a whole number that included the 27. If JD wanted to use whole numbers for lines... I'm open to that also. No biggie. Not fussed about the whole 'Vegas' push - refund thing as we're not betting Vegas around here.

If you plan on converting all lines to half point increments, you need a consistent method - eg. always shift in favour of the underdog.
I don't see any problem in allowing pushes, though. In fact, I'm in favour of not adjusting any lines. It just means you don't lose your team or gain any points if you push.

Cincinnati vs Chicago (-3)

Final Score: Chicago 27-24

If someone tipped Chicago on the line in Temptation, would they win? If someone tipped Bengals on the line in Temptation, would they win?

Also, why what ac83 suggested (very nice idea) wouldn't work....the result is a 'push', so people who tipped Bengals or Bears would not lose their team and not score any points....however, people who tipped Bears at -3 would actually 'win' that bet in Woodson's AE rules, because they also are supposed to get 1 point bonus for Chicago winning the game

I haven't implemented anything in stone with the way JD chooses to align the spread. I only said I can understand it as a 'full number' ...as in your example... the Bears @ -3 (means -2.5pts) how I understand it.. whereas Cinci @ +2.5 would be a Temptation Toplist loser based on the 27-24 final score example.

I'm all for the lines staying with the .5 (noticed JD adjusted 'em on the AE website btw) but let it not be confused with the Team score stated as 27+. That's all.
