Have about 120 CR points you can gamble each week? The worse the team or worse the odds the more you can bet?

How about this...

End of week 8. The bottom placed 16 teams in the nfl are marked. You have say 100-120 points to allocate however you wish on games ONLY involving those 16 teams.

One thing I reckon we should consider is changing the CR available on bye weeks. We could do it this year.

So if there's only 14 games, the 16CR & 15CR is still available but we drop the 1CR & 2CR instead.

There's a big difference in points available in these weeks and it makes it hard to catch up.

IIRC, there's a 13 game week this year meaning 45 less CR pts are available this week to 16 game weeks.

There are lots of fascinating match ups this week.. I've underlined 24 match ups below that have just as much clout that will more than likely come down to the wire like the marquee match ups in BOLD.
Week #1 we had just a dozen match ups decided by 5pts or less.. not including the TIE between Statsman74 and Prawnographer who have a tendency for ties.. prawnographer having back to back Ties last season (5-5-2) whilst statsman74 opened up the inaugural 2008 ND season with a TIE vs marcuz. Chris25 has the most ND TIES with Five that doesn't include the heartbreaking CC loss to Reacher (DevNull) in 2009 that went into Tie-breakers. I'm expecting 60% of my underlined match ups below to be decided by 6pts or less.

*Favourites that cover entitles you to 4 points but the bonus point here pertains to taking an underdog team that claims the upset.

On the site I've only got 5 pts for Temptation.

But reading the above I should have...

Bengals +3.5 Line = 3 pts (they lost so no bonus 1 pt)
Chiefs -3.5 Line = 4 pts (favorite who covered the line)
Seahawks -3.5 Line = 4 pts (favorite who covered the line)
49ers Win = 1 pt
Titans +7.5 = 3 pts (+ 1 bonus pt for winning)

Total: 15 pts

Thanks JeffDunne that looks much better now, second place in temptation and nine teams left. Others around me lost more teams.

Another interesting aspect about this comp...people like me and marcuz coukd bolt ahead and then lose all our teams by say week 8, but so far ahead, but we're not eliminated from comp, still leading, as others who preserved their teams early start clawing back the rest of the season but could fall short or pip us at the post
