Yeh...should have left my KO alone and defaukted to my 14 CR and I would still have a life... :(

Better luck in the other comps now.. show must go on.

To think that I needed to have another look at the stats after the late Sunday games concluded and realise that the Falcons are pritay pritay pritay GOOD in their own nest.. and I'm sure you read the stat I served you.. and then I was flabbergasted at seeing Rivers 11-2 stat so far!! Back it UP!! that was the one that SAID 'ABORT. ABORT, ABORT!!' for the 3XKO pick. I strangely had an interesting conundrum with SD in my parlay which would of netted me enough for a return interstate flight in business class!! But on the flip side.. with PhillyCat needing the Chargers to win to basically have him in the box seat to claim our ND match up.. so now I'm less the funds in my account but have my foot firmly on PhillyCat's throat for the ND. That Texans-Niners game was irrelevant afterall.

The other match up of interest (indifference) is Billiever 73 vs Chris25 70 with Billiever (2-2) taking the Raiders 7CR vs Chris 1CR on Bolts. But that match up will be determined on MNF because Chris25 (1-3) has saved his 14CR vs Billiever's 3.
This sucks balls wanting the jets to win :'( in saying that i'm sure Chris25 is shocked his browns didn't let him down. Sucks coming 2nd overall in cr knowing you're still more than likely going to lose. It's bad enough supporting the Bills. I don't need this shite

It's a good time to be a Browns fan.

This sentence makes no sense?

Had EJ Manuel decided to slide down instead of taking the 'hit' that hurt him in the third Q, I think it's reasonably likely that the Bills come away with the win and have you 23 points the better. That was a real body-blow / roll of the loaded dice if I've ever seen one. Hopefully he'll learn from that and be more wiser next time. I have no doubt that most starting rookie QB's wants to show the world they possess all the courage in the world when it's 'GO TIME' out of the pocket but that gallop unfortunately was 'too ambitious' to still do the tightrope run along the sideline. If you were the opposition and saw the upstart QB trying to be 'too cheeky', you'd want to pay him abit more respect with taking him down so he'll respect the D a lil' more.

It seems to me more injuries are incurred by runners when the defence deliberately try and take them out with contact to the knees. I know helmet to helmet is penalised but surely when a defender goes head first with his helmet into a guys knees to take him out it should be penalised. Manuel should have gone out of bounds earlier to avoid the contact but to take him out by the knees was uncalled for, can't guys in the NFL tackle through the middle of the body.

Carolina cost me this week.

Volatile team.

It's the weak teams that can still play decent like the Cardinals that cause me nightmares.

Do you tip them just in case they turn up to play?

Do you just take the home team every time when not sure?

For a rookie you are doing great, don't analyse it too much and follow your gut feel which is working for you already

I'm with you on the Panthers - they're an enigma, and I can't seem to get their measure either.

Here's a few of rules of thumb:

Divisional matchups are all danger games - particularly if the favourite is the visiting team

Keep an eye on the defensive rankings - home teams with good defences are a good chance to spring an upset

Keep an eye on the Collingwood factor - East Coast teams are usually favoured by the bookies because that's where most of the money comes from. An East Coast team that is a three point favourite over a central team probably should be the underdog....

and finally (a statement of the obvious)....

Nothing is certain in the NFL (except maybe Denver to beat Jacksonville this week) - BTW - that is probably the biggest kiss of death for the Broncos!

Just having a discussion with Dirty Bird (banned posting on the boards only) and it was more about his concern about his ND / 3XKO conundrum. As he has two lives in hand in the 3XKO, he stated to me he's picking his beloved Falcons for MNF.. however, he has selected the J-E-T-S meaning that Falcons 3XKO isn't possible. He trails Matt 897, 64-57, both have MNF 14CR. A couple years ago, the 3XKO & CR selections were separated on the AE website module. JD noted noted that most/ if not all 3XKO picks are the same CR selections so he joined the module together (with my blessing) meaning from last year & this year, your 3XKO pick = CR pick. Dirty Bird wants to challenge this motion. I said, can't do. My response:

That would break the system down and cause repercussions that would mess the comp integrity DB. Others will see the loophole and suddenly we'll be arguing about rule changes / why that was allowed to happen. IF JD hadn't had the 3XKO within the CR module like the case was a couple years ago, then fINE and it was stated as such. But CAN't ALLOW it now. Sorry.

3XKO updated to include MNF picks.

Dirty Bird picked the Jets? I thought about this but didn't think he would do it, adds another element to this one

Can only work in the framework of the current model.

Ideally they should be separated on the site just for this reason. People wanting to do a late cr change to win a nd game. Maybe next year jd can separate them again.

This year Db has to just bite bullet this week. Take a loss of life in 3xko if he wants to have a shot in nd....or.....take a loss in nd to have a shot in 3xko

Certainly does... I let him know that you left the gate open for him by picking the 'out of sorts winless G-Men' but he still tried to jump the fence, tripped over that to fall in his muck. Can't have his cake & eat it too. If guys like Manureid are man enough to take it on the chin by declining an offer to stay in the 3XKO hunt then why should DB get parole for something he knows he can't get away with? That's like allowing a pedophile live next to a primary school. :D

I noticed that Billiever & Dirty Bird are gunning for the ND win. Good on them. Got the first score and will make the Falcons earn the win if they're good enough.

Thanks for that Sven.

That's very helpful to know. The odds have been a bit confusing at times.

Seems like many good underdogs are winning.

My handle on the form is getting better.

Some teams perform above and beyond their actual form at home. The Bills 23-20 win against Baltimore was one of those games. Spiller and Manuel both running riot on us. Like a lightning strike as they haven't been that good outside of that game except maybe week 1.

It's hard work keeping up with 32 teams.

Broncos vs Jaguars will only be about 50-0. Denver will not want to run up the score that much :p

Looks like I'll beat crowman_23 in ND which is a big scalp so gotta be happy with this week :D

Go all in on Jets and try to win both. Not looking too bad atm either.

So Matt an avid J-E-T-S fan needs Atlanta to win to secure an ND win while DB needs his Falcons to lose to win ND and keep alive a strike in 3XKO?

That's BRILLIANT!

Yeah also out, used my last strike to get my Ravens the road win. Love a bit of reverse-psychology/hedging my bets, works every time.

Post your thanks here Ravens fans.

The scores on the AE website say I have no 3xko picks. However I had two, the Falcons and Rams.

Bump.

Not sure what is happening. I had two strikes left, one of which I lost on the Falcons. However I still had one left on the Rams who won but it is saying I have no strikes left.
